"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." --George Washington It's no surprise that John Kerry has devoted so much time and energy questioning George W. Bush's record as commander-in-chief. Nor is it any surprise that he recently launched a campaign calling on Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld to resign after a handful of military personnel humiliated al-Qa'ida terrorists in Abu Ghraib prison while attempting to obtain actionable intelligence about their plans to kill more of our troops. These political attacks are just the latest round on Kerry's long list of black-bag antics designed to undermine America's military strength and resolve....

Kerry's bio is a bomb Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry wants us to look at 4 months of his bio and judge him as a strong, capable, honest, trustworthy leader. What about the rest of John Kerry's bio? What about the 17 months after he returned from Vietnam? Months spent with folks like Hanoi Jane Fonda, Scott "The Assassin" Camil? Time spent at the Kansas City meeting of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, where they discussed assassinating U.S. Senators? It was called "The Phoenix Project", after a military op in Vietnam. Here's what Scott Camil, the instigator of...

In the mid-80s the Senate Subcommittee on Narcotics, Terrorism and International Operations was set up with John Kerry's help. What became known as the "John Kerry Committee" quickly became a vicious means of opposing President Reagan's policy of ridding Central America of Marxist-Leninist thugs. Leaks from the committee charged that there was a CIA/Contra operation running drugs into the US. The leaks were clearly designed to subvert Reagan's anti-communist policies in the region by linking the CIA with drug-running. (Incidentally, John Kerry and his pals never examined Castro's drug-trafficking activities). There was no doubt at the time that leaks were...

Hundreds of opponents to the Vietnam War will meet this coming Saturday in a Third District Citizens Caucus to choose a Democrat strong enough in the September primary to oust Philip J. Philbin (D-Mass.) from the Congressional seat he has held for 26 years. Philbin, whose District stretches from Fitchburg to Newton, is the second-ranking member on the House Armed Services Committee and many people consider the 71-year-old Congressman a hawk on Vietnam and an all-around conservative. Any resident of the Third District, including college students under 21, will be eligible to vote at the open caucus, which will be...

In this interview titled "An Angry War Veteran", John Kerry admitted to the NYT reporter that he enlisted in the Swift Boats to avoid the war in Vietnam, since the boats were only used for patrol duty: ************************************************************************* ..That first trip to Vietnam piqued his curiosity, - "I wanted to go back and see for myself what was going on, but I didn't really want to get involved in the war." So late in 1968 he volunteered for an assignment on "swift boats" - the short, fast aluminum craft that were then used for patrol duty off the coast of...

Hello Folks. Want an example of what a hollow man John F'n Kerry really is? About 10 months ago, I thought I'd go to the Kerry's Senatorial website to learn more about his legislative record and accomplishments. What I found there stunned me, and IT'S STILL THERE...

"A Bush-Cheney '04 ad released Aug. 13 accuses Kerry of being absent for 76% of the Senate Intelligence Committee's public hearings during the time he served there. The Kerry campaign calls the ad "misleading," so we checked, and Bush is right. Official records show Kerry not present for at least 76% of public hearings held during his eight years on the panel, and possibly 78% (the record of one hearing is ambiguous). Kerry points out that most meetings of the Intelligence Committee are closed and attendance records of those meetings aren't public, hinting that his attendance might have been better...

To really put the icing on the cake, can someone find out how much WORES John Kerry's attendance record at public Intelligence Committee hearings was than the other members of the committee? I'd suspect that it was the worst of everyone on the committee! Who is better? There may be some pretty despicable characters who have a better record, perhaps some that failed to be re-elected. This should give the voting public some basis of comparison.

Formal Complaint Filed Over Senator’s Vietnam Awards, Post-Service Activities (Washington, D.C.) – Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today filed a request with the U.S. Navy and the Defense Department for an investigation into the awards granted to Sen. John Kerry during his service with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. Judicial Watch also requested that military authorities investigate Kerry’s anti-war activities, including his meeting with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations in Paris, while a member of the Naval Reserve. Basing its requests on a recently published book, Unfit for Command, by former Navy...

Let's get straight to the point. From the public record, the top five reasons (from least to most important) to dislike, distrust the judgment of, and disdain the politics of, U.S. Sen. John Kerry: • He's compassionate only with other people's money. One of the most annoying habits of liberals is their use of the word "compassion" to talk about using the power of government to confis cate one man's earnings for the (supposed) benefit of another. One would expect, however, that a truly compassionate person would voluntarily part with some of his own riches. Courtesy of Noemie Emery of...

Republicans continue to press Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry to release his attendance records from his tenure on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Television ads that began airing Monday call into question the Massachusetts Democrat's commitment to reforming America's intelligence community. Kerry served on the panel from 1993 to 2000 and according to official records missed 76 percent of the public committee hearings during that time. During his eight years of service on the committee there were 49 open, public hearings. Of these 49, Kerry attended just 11. Among the most notable of those he missed is the June 8,...

Bush says Kerry missed 76% of public hearings. He could have missed even more. Summary A Bush-Cheney '04 ad released Aug. 13 accuses Kerry of being absent for 76% of the Senate Intelligence Committee's public hearings during the time he served there. The Kerry campaign calls the ad "misleading," so we checked, and Bush is right. In various press releases, including an August 6 "fact check," the Democrats have asserted that "John Kerry served on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for 6 years and is the former Vice Chairman of the Committee." Eugene Volokh questions this claim: Now the Republican National Committee is pointing out -- correctly, I think, based on my quick search -- that Kerry never was the Vice Chairman of the Committee; that post was held by former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey. I've followed up on Professor Volokh's work and conducted my own research. Democrats won't be pleased with the findings.... Posted...

The Kerry Line: Fellow Senators Call For Kerry To Release Attendance At Private Intelligence Committee Hearings(title edited for length) "John Kerry served on the Intelligence Committee from 1993 to 2000, and according to official records, John Kerry missed 76 percent of the public Senate Intelligence Committee hearings during that time. This figure doesn’t include his attendance at closed door meetings. Those records can only be released to the public at John Kerry’s request. This is something that needs to be done, and I join Senator Roberts, Senator Chambliss, Senator Cornyn, and Senator Coleman and others in calling on him to...

Senator John Kerry, a decorated battle veteran, was courageous as a navy lieutenant in the Vietnam War. But he was not so courageous more than two decades later, when he covered up voluminous evidence that a significant number of live American prisoners—perhaps hundreds—were never acknowledged or returned after the war-ending treaty was signed in January 1973. The Massachusetts senator, now seeking the presidency, carried out this subterfuge a little over a decade ago— shredding documents, suppressing testimony, and sanitizing the committee's final report—when he was chairman of the Senate Select Committee on P.O.W./ M.I.A. Affairs. Over the years, an abundance...

The Kerry campaign is misleading Americans and distorting the facts of his intelligence record. Their flailing attacks and efforts to distract from his record do not change the facts. John Kerry missed 76 percent of Senate Intelligence meetings during his time on the Committee (1993-2000). John Kerry also proposed $6 billion in across the board intelligence cuts in 1994, the year after the first bombing of the World Trade Center. Kerry's Poor Attendance John Kerry skipped 38 of 49 public intelligence hearings during his time on the Senate Intelligence Committee. This count is based on records where Kerry's name was...

Fox News just had a news segment where the Kerry campaign, in angry response to Bush claims that Kerry attended few Intelligence briefings, said that Kerry had at one time been the Vice-Chairman of the Intelligence campaign. In response, the Bush people gleefully (Fox's word) returned fire by saying that it was BOB Kerrey, not JOHN Kerry who was Vice-Chairman of the Intelligence committee.

Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004 12:32 a.m. EDT Sen. Intel Chief Calls on Kerry to Release Records Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts called on Sen. John Kerry to release his Intelligence Committee attendance records on Sunday - as controversy swirled over claims that the top Democrat was mostly a no-show during important hearings. "The easiest way out of this is for John Kerry and John Edwards to request [Committee Vice Chairman] Sen. Rockefeller and myself to release the attendance [records]," Roberts told NBC's "Meet the Press."
