Twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called most Republicans “cowards” and “spineless enablers” for supporting President Donald Trump, who defeated Clinton during the 2016 presidential election with zero political experience. Oxfam has been severely criticised by the Charity Commission for the way it dealt with claims of serious sexual misconduct by its staff in Haiti. The commission said there was a "culture of poor behaviour" at the charity, and issued it with an official warning over its "mismanagement". Has anyone heard any news of the State Department working to free the American Baptist Missionaries from prison in Haiti? AOL reports that 8 of the Americans being held signed a note that was slipped out which states that they fear for their lives. This worries me greatly, given the history of Haiti.

A group of 10 American Baptists were being held in the Haitian capital Sunday after trying to take 33 children out of Haiti. The church group, most of them from Idaho, allegedly lacked the proper documents when they were arrested Friday night in a bus along with children from 2 months to 12 years old who had survived the catastrophic earthquake. ... MERIDIAN, Idaho (BP)--Members of two Southern Baptist churches in Idaho are awaiting word on what a Haitian judge will decide Feb. 1 when he hears the case of 10 Americans accused of unlawfully trying to remove 33 children from Haiti. Five of the 10 are members of Central Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho, and three are from Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, including Eastside's pastor, Paul Thompson. Two others are believed to be from other states.

"God wanted us to come here to help children," Laura Silsby told The New York Times last week through the bars of a Port-au-Prince jail cell. "We are convinced of that." But that conviction wasn't enough to keep Silsby and nine other Idaho missionaries from being charged with kidnapping Haitian children. In fact, that confidence in God's plan was the reason they sat in jail awaiting word from a Haitian judge about their fate.
