A California man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his pack of pit bulls attacked a 63-year-old female jogger, who later died of blood loss from some 200 puncture wounds. Alex Jackson, 29, of Antelope Valley was booked on Thursday after his dogs, caught and impounded following the May 9 attack, tested positive to DNA belonging to victim, Pamela Devitt. Police say the dog severely injured the two day old girl. The pit bull belonged to her family. She was initially taken to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. She was then transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita and is listed in stable condition.

A toddler was killed by his family's pet pit bull on Wednesday in their home in Georgia. A seven-year-old boy has died four days after being savaged by two pit bull mix dogs belonging to his neighbour. Tyler Jett was dragged from his bike as he cycled home from school. He was just yards from his home in Calaway, Florida, when the two dogs, an Alapha blood bulldog and brindle bulldog, escaped and pounced on him.
