Teachers have taken to social media in the midst of a gun control debate following the Parkland, Florida, school shooting to push for an increase in classroom resources -- not the ability to carry guns in school. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump suggested that some teachers be armed, calling it a "great deterrent" to mass shootings on campus. Using the hashtag #ArmMeWith, teachers are proposing other resources they would rather be armed with, such as more funding, additional school counselors and smaller class sizes. Olivia Bertels, a middle school English teacher in Kansas, and Brittany Wheaton, an English teacher...

The local sheriff’s office received at least 18 calls about Florida school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz over the past decade — including warnings that were passed on to the disgraced school deputy who failed to stop the massacre, according to a damning new report. Records of calls about Cruz to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office reveal that in February 2016, neighbors called to say they feared he “planned to shoot up the school” after posing for Instagram photos with firearms, USA Today reports. The information was passed on to the sheriff’s on-site officer at Stoneman Douglas High School, Deputy Scot...

Everyone should agree to ban AR-15s. That was the conclusion of a recent article in the Atlantic magazine by a radiologist who was shocked by the bodily damage revealed in a CT scan of one of the victims of the mass murder at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The first tip-off that this was an emotion-driven, rather than fact-based argument was that this expert doctor admitted he had seen a grand total of two wounds with that “specific pattern of injury” in his entire medical experience. The second tip-off that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about was his...

Gov. Rick Scott (R) is pushing firearm confiscation orders and stands opposed to the suggestion that teachers should be armed for school safety. CNN reports that Scott is pushing a “Violent Threat Restraining Order,” which are similar to California’s Gun Violence Restraining Orders in that they a designed to secure court orders to confiscate firearms following a family member’s complaint. It is difficult to see how such orders–designed to be triggered by family requests–would have been effective against Nikolas Cruz. After all, the family with which he was staying repeatedly called the police on him in November 2017 but refused...

Too bizzare (and horrible) for words. They do have a website which lends credence. Either an elaborate hoax, or there are some sick people out there. Must watch. Website: http://cannibalclub.org/index.html Video link above.

RUSH: I checked the email during the break. An interesting question: “Rush, you haven’t talked about the second indictments that have been handed down against Paul Manafort,” and I’m paraphrasing the email. The question basically is these things still have nothing to do with even the campaign. Everything Manafort’s being indicted for happened before the campaign, and then a letter writer very astutely mentioned that Mueller is changing the venue from Washington, D.C., to the Eastern District of Virginia, which is where Manafort lives. While that is an interesting aspect of this, the email says, “What is going on?” Folks,...

A group of five U.S. private rocket companies met with Brazilian officials in December. Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Vector are interested in launching from the equatorial Alcantara launch complex. The coastal launch site would offer cost savings by its ability to reach orbits often preferred for satellites. A group representing five U.S. private rocket companies visited Brazil in December to meet with the nation's space agency and analyze the possibility of launching from the equatorial Alcantara launch complex. The U.S. Department of Commerce was informed about the trip, which was organized by members of the private space industry. The group...

RUSH: Hey, quick question for those of you just tuning in to the program today: How many of you saw Trump’s CPAC speech? He went about an hour and 20 minutes. It was very raucous. But how many of you saw it? I, of course, watched it here. And you know, folks, I have to tell you. It was so great — and there’s about a thousand of ’em in there. It was so great seeing a bunch of young people cheering the president at a conference instead of watching him on CNN. It was just so much more pleasant...

To date, four people have pleaded guilty to charges brought against them by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and his team. Two were ancillary characters: a businessman who apparently sold bank account numbers to Russian trolls and a lawyer who’d worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his longtime partner Rick Gates. Two were closer to the campaign. One is campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, whose connections to Russia-linked characters helped spur the initial investigation in July 2016 into whether President Trump’s campaign had aided Russian interference efforts. And then there’s Michael Flynn, a campaign aide who wound...

Ukrainian patriots are joining American patriots in helping President Trump to Make America Great Again. Please check the article "Solution to the Illegal Immigration and Voter Fraud problems" at www.AmericanSkyNews.com describing practical, humane, sensible solution to stop illegal immigration, voter fraud and liberal destruction of US. Besides Canada Free Press about a year ago, there seems to be Yuuge Wall of Resistance to publicize the solution from talking heads and patriot media. Instead there is a talk about elaborate wall for $20 billion, that $400 bathtub drone can overfly, ignoring simple barbed wire fence Soviets and Hungarians used. Sanctuary cities...

Joe Biden is reportedly pondering a 2020 run against President Donald Trump, who has been accused of having blood on his hands regarding the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida by, among others, David Hogg, one of the surviving students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who has become the media face of those pushing increased gun control after the tragedy:

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday asked Russian President Putin to support a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for an immediate, month-long ceasefire in Syria. The two European Union leaders appealed to Putin -- whose military intervention in Syria gave President Bashar al-Assad the upper hand in the seven-year-old conflict -- to stop bombardments of the rebel-held pocket of eastern Ghouta. Warplanes from Assad’s government forces and their allies pounded the densely populated enclave east of the capital Damascus for a sixth straight day on Friday. “France and Germany call for an...

President Donald Trump is considering pulling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of California for protecting illegal immigrants. “Frankly it’s a disgrace, the sanctuary city situation,” Trump said at a White House meeting Thursday, according to The Hill. The president said that California has refused to cooperate with federal law enforcement since it declared itself a “sanctuary” jurisdiction. Trump added that if the federal agencies left the state, “you would have a crime mess like you’ve never seen in California.” “If we ever pulled our ICE out, if we ever said, ‘hey, let California alone, let them figure it...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she is not intimated by the National Rifle Association's Wayne LaPierre after he singled her and other liberal Democrats out in a speech Thursday smearing the tide of "socialism." Furthermore, in the Massachusetts senator's tweet rager Thursday evening, she pledged to fight the NRA "at every turn" in advocating for stricter gun control measures and also plugged a fundraising link to her re-election campaign. "Wayne LaPierre can call me whatever he wants. He doesn't scare me," Warren said hours after LaPierre's speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. "You know what scares Wayne LaPierre? That...

Rick Gates, a former top official in President Trump’s campaign, has agreed to plead guilty Friday afternoon to conspiracy and lying to the FBI, according to court papers filed by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III. The guilty plea, which is scheduled for 2 p.m., caps a busy week for Mueller’s investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and related issues. It also ends a tumultuous period for Gates, who found himself re-indicted, changing lawyers and agreeing to plead guilty all within 24 hours. According to a criminal information — a document filed with the permission of the defendant...
