NASHUA, NH (CBS) – A Nashua Chick-Fil-A restaurant will be sponsoring New Hampshire Pride Fest. Ryan Manseau, the senior director of Pride Fest, told WBZ-TV he was handing out fliers at the Pheasant Lane Mall recently to promote his event and noticed a man who appeared to be a Chick-Fil-A manager holding one. . . Manseau said he approached the man, bracing for a verbal confrontation. He turned out to be the franchise operator, Anthony Piccola, who agreed to help sponsor the event and to serve Chick-Fil-A sandwiches there.

The New Hampshire hospital lab technician indicted last week for infecting 31 people with Hepatitis C might have infected "tens of thousands" of patients in at least 13 hospitals, ABC News has learned. David Kwiatkowski, a former lab technician at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire, had allegedly been stealing the Fentanyl syringes intended for patients, injecting his own arm and then refilling those empty syringes with another liquid-like saline, according to a statement from the United States Attorney's Office in New Hampshire. Since Kwiatkowski tested positive for Hepatitis C in June 2010, he passed it on to the hospital patients...

The man who attracted local attention when he carried a pistol into a Hanover theater Monday night said his actions had nothing to do with the gunman in Colorado three days before that killed 12 movie-goers and wounded 58. Ryan Ruby, 27, of Littlestown, said he wasn't trying to make a point or draw attention to himself when he went to see "The Dark Knight Rises" openly carrying his pistol. For him, he said, it was habit. Ruby said he's been carrying a firearm openly for about two years. He goes to the movie theater in Hanover at least once...

PETERBOROUGH — A gun club official says members are doing all they can to be considerate of their neighbors. The Monadnock Rod and Gun Club will most likely not make any changes after receiving a letter from selectmen asking it to be quieter, said Mark Carbone, chairman of the board of directors. Neighbors recently brought their concerns to town officials about noise levels at the shooting range increasing in recent years. Town officials said they could not make the gun club change its activities because it has not done anything illegal. But selectmen sent a letter last week requesting the...

Hospitals in several U.S. states are scrambling to check if patients were exposed to the hepatitis C virus by an itinerant medical technician charged last week in connection with an outbreak in New Hampshire. The worker, David Matthew Kwiatkowski, was charged with federal drug crimes. Authorities say the Michigan native stole drugs and contaminated needles while working at New Hampshire's Exeter Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Unit in 2011 and 2012. Kwiatkowski allegedly injected himself with the painkiller Fentanyl intended for patients, and left the syringes for the hospital to re-use. Hepatitis C is caused by a virus that attacks the liver,...

We flew out from Kansas City to Boston and travelled up to New Hampshire (Alton Bay) for a vacation. I know Romney has place up in Wolfsboro so the area would be pro Romney. What was amazing, my wife and girls commented and they aren't that much into politics, was NO Obama signs and just a few bumper stickers even on interstate and roads from the MA state line up to Lake Winnipesaukee. Around a circle of the whole lake, literally NO Obama stickers. I know Manchester and Rochester are where the liberals will be more heavily populated. Not scientific...

“Instead of downsizing, states have decided to just look for a new tax scheme to fund the leviathan. They see online sales as the way to go. iTunes downloads will be next.Congressional Republicans are helping.” Congressional Republicans led by Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming have begun negotiating behind closed doors with liberals like Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois to raise Americans’ taxes. They introduced their internet tax as an amendment to a Senate small business bill, but that bill stalled. Now they are confident they can sneak the internet tax into a lame duck session of Congress, just in time...

She kept a Colt .38-caliber revolver close, while he preferred a .45-caliber pistol from the same maker. But neither weapon was enough to save American outlaws and lovers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow during a 1934 ambush by law enforcement officers. After the duo was dead, authorities recovered the revolver Bonnie had secured to an inner thigh with white medical tape. They also seized the handgun Clyde had tucked into his waistband. Nearly 80 years later, those guns and other items connected to the infamous gangsters will be going up for auction in New Hampshire on Sept. 30. An auction...

It really has been hysterical watching the Obama-loving media the past few weeks defend the President using bogus information reported by the Washington Post falsely accusing Mitt Romney of outsourcing jobs while at Bain Capital. This has become so comical that former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu (R) couldn't hold back the laughs as Andrea Mitchell did exactly that Tuesday on the MSNBC program bearing her name (video follows with transcript and commentary): John Sununu Laughs at Andrea Mitchell Defending Obama's Use of Bogus Romney Outsourcing Claims ANDREA MITCHELL, HOST: Isn't it a winning issue for the White House fundamentally,...

The Washington Post reports that Mitt Romney plans to fortify his communications and messaging team by adding some veteran operatives. However, Romney apparently has no plans to change his inner circle. As longtime senior Romney senior aide Tom Rath put it: ..................................................... Rath was instrumental in David Souter’s elevation to the Supreme Court. ......................................................... But Rath’s own words show that he didn’t make a mistake. Instead, as demonstrated below, he promoted Souter for the Supreme Court knowing full well what kind of Justice his old friend would be.
