We have lost..... The most productive people, the small business owners, the entrepreneurs and the honest wage earners of America are so demoralized right now I am not sure we will recover as a country. We have lost the most important election of our lifetime and did so after giving our best effort, spent the most money ever and working the hardest we have ever worked. The very people that America needs the most to generate a real recovery now have the least motivation to do so and worse, lack the confidence necessary to even justify the effort. We opposed...

On the walls of my office, I have several prints of my heroes. General Washington on horseback, pointing his sword down at my computer as if to say “Get to work!”… Colonel Hamilton in profile, posing for a sawbuck… a photo of President Reagan in the Oval Office… a sketch above a quote, of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, reminding us that “The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; the optimist, the opportunity in every difficulty.” Most imposing and inspiring is “Signing the Constitution” (yes, it’s a terrific poster-sized version of the famous Howard Chandler Christy mural of all 55...
  • What kinds of ads did you run into from the Romney campaign vs the Obama campaign? (vanity)

Congratulations Mr. President on your most recent win in your bid for reelection – “Well Done.” You have earned the right to be THE man responsible for America’s decline – Congratulations. Your high water line is 23 million Americans unemployed, 8% unemployment for 42 consecutive months, 47 million Americans on food stamps, 6 trillion dollars in NEW debt, a declining military (with a looming 1 trillion dollar budget cut, laying off or firing many that voted for you), Iran on the verge of developing a nuclear bomb, threatening Israel’s peace and security, interest rates set to skyrocket (currently at 3.4%...

Based on the dismal state of the union and after four years of doing exactly what Rush Limbaugh said he hoped that he would do, by any thinking person's standards President Barack Obama has indeed "failed." Yet, despite the catastrophe, on Election Day the American people inexplicably invited the President to spend the next four years beating the dead horse that he killed during his first term. The next day, after being MIA for months, Speaker of the House John Boehner crawled out of the tanning bed long enough to publicly assure the President that House Republicans plan to work...
  • Victory without Triumph: Tough Road Ahead for Obama after Lackluster Win

Barack Obama may have won the election, but it is a victory devoid of triumph. Obama ran a lackluster election campaign, one distinguished more by harsh attacks on his opponent Mitt Romney than by pride in his own accomplishments. Just how narrow the victory was can be seen in the popular vote count. While the incumbent easily defeated his challenger in the Electoral College, he only managed to eke out a razor thin majority of total votes cast. Republican candidate Romney proved instead to be an opponent who will quickly be forgotten by history -- an inept, even awkward politician.
  • Romney [Non] ad advantage doesn't tell the whole story

AP Wire ^ | 10/18/2012 | BETH FOUHY and JACK GILLUM
... Yet despite the onslaught, Obama has retained an overall advertising advantage over Romney and Republican groups. Under federal law, television stations must offer presidential campaigns a discounted price — it's known as the lowest unit rate — to run their spots in the two months leading up to Election Day. Independent political groups aren't eligible for the discount, so their ads cost as much to run as do commercials for products like Pepsi or Tide. The Obama team has taken full advantage of the lower ad rates available to them, having booked their fall advertising last July and August...

Mitt Romney wasn't a bad candidate. He ran a fairly strong race. He made a few errors. And he made many good moves. Certainly he was adequate. And he was probably the strongest Republican candidate among the primary field of contenders. That is, he was the best man available to run against Barack Obama. And he did a pretty good job. Obama on the other hand, was a horrible candidate. He was mean and vindictive. He was contemptuous and superficial. He ran on irrelevancies like abortion and a fictitious Republican war against women. He didn't give his supporters any reason...

The following is making rounds on Facebook and other social media outlets. While I have my own responses to much of its content, i would like to know the responses you would give. --------------- REPOST: A white man asked his black friend Are you going to vote for BARACK OBAMA just because he's black? The black man responded by saying "why not?" In this country men are pulled over by police because they are BLACK, passed over promotion just because they are BLACK; considered to be criminals just because they are BLACK; Thousands of white voters are not voting for...

I am sure you’ll get a kick out of this. There is a big push around here to get us to contribute to United Way… their annual coercion to make us ‘give’. Let me see if I get this right: Americans just elected a guy whose party has ALWAYS screamed: ‘The government can spend your money better then you can, get more out of your money than you can, provide more efficiently for the needy and disabled, assure that EVERYONE gets his/her fair share, etc…. and on and on’!!! NOW they think, after they virtually enabled the government to rape...

(Putting on my flak jacket). Let me say that I'm no fan of Romney's politics, but the guy ran a decent campaign, and he appeals to swing voters in a way that Santorum and Palin cannot. And let's face it - what's he going to do with the rest of his life? If there's one thing he's got, it's time and money. He can learn from his mistakes, just as Nixon learned from his, and perhaps lead the GOP to victory in 2016.

Hey, fellow Freepers. I have to be honest. I am very disappointed and downbeat that Romney did not get elected, and I won't be a sore loser. We should just be better prepared for the war in 2014, and especially for 2016. However, I trolled on Huffington Post and Bill Maher's Facebook page, and to be truthful, I have never seen so many SORE WINNERS as the Obama people...you should be euphoric and jubilant! Why are you so angry? Your guy won! Why all the threats and anger and bitterness. Obama is in for four years and you act like...

There are three main factors how we lost election: 1.Voter frauds which were committed everywhere in inner cities such as Cleveland, Miami, Las Vegas, Philly, etc. 2.Only about 45% Republican base turnout, especially religious Evangelicals, they could not bring themselves to vote for a Mormon. And 50% Catholic voted for Obama, and Lord God has mercy on their souls (I am a Catholic myself.) 3.But the main reason is the predestined will of God: We deserve to have Obama for the world has become fertile ground for the Evil One. Our Blessed Lord gave us the name of the long-awaited...

It just occured to me, all those dead voters need to eat too, I mean if you are dead and you just spent a long election season voting several times for your favorite democrat president, the food stamp president and you get bupkiss for your your vote, well nuts to that, why not sign your corpse-y self up for some government cheese? I mean if dead people gotta vote, dead people gotta eat too? If Obama is gonna double down in his second term, why not double down on his food stamp numbers by making sure that his favorite voting...

<> Though many of the state margins were narrow President Obama ran the table winning every swing or battleground state with the possible exception of Florida where votes are still being counted as of 5:30 this morning. President Obama also won the popular vote by 2 million votes. The President won 303 electoral votes to 206 for Romney. We knew about 11 pm that the President had won when Ohio was called for him. Democrats also held the Senate. Elizabeth Warren won with a good margin in Massachusetts. Claire McKaskill won in Missouri beating Akin-he of the legitimate rape...

Not shockingly, immediately after President Obama was reelected for a second term, his administration reinforced its support for the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty [ATT], also known as the "Small Arms Treaty." Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been expressing full support of the treaty on behalf of the United States for years now while for political reasons, President Obama sat back. Now, the entire administration will be out front in support of ratifying it. Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty...

House Speaker John Boehner wouldn't go so far as to say that he and his Republican colleagues won't waste time trying to overturn President Obama's healthcare law, but the Representative did tell ABC News' Diane Sawyer that the signature legislation is "the law of the land." "It's pretty clear that the president was reelected, Obamacare is the law of the land," he said, before adding, "I think there are parts of the healthcare law that are gonna be very difficult to implement. And very expensive." Asked, "You won't be spending the time next year trying to repeal Obamacare?" Boehner responded,...

We lost. We the People got our teeth kicked down our throat. I know that sounds harsh, but let's face it fellow Republicans, we're members of a party that failed to defeat a racist, dog-eating, homosexual agenda pushing piece of human garbage who isn't qualified to be a cashier at 7-11, let alone be President of the United States. We, the party of strong economies and national defense, failed as a party to dislodge an economically illiterate man who hates the US military with a passion. In short, this election was an absolute train wreck that may very well destroy...
