Climate Change: A suppressed EPA study says old U.N. data ignore the decline in global temperatures and other inconvenient truths. Was the report kept under wraps to influence the vote on the cap-and-trade bill? This was supposed to be the most transparent administration ever. Yet as the House of Representatives prepared to vote on the Waxman-Markey bill, the largest tax increase in U.S. history on 100% of Americans, an attempt was made to suppress a study shredding supporters' arguments.

Definition of Marxism Vic Biorseth, http://www.Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center.com Definition of Marxism: The economic, social, political, pseudo-scientific philosophy, theory, belief, or system based on the works of Karl Marx of Germany. The theory seeks the elimination of the notion of private property in order to gain control of the economic "means of production" by taking it from the bourgeois (the wealthy or propertied class) for the benefit of the proletariat (working class.) His philosophy of history was called "historical materialism" in which his goal was to bring about the end of history, by means of an eventual perfect, classless, utopian society he called...

During ABC's health-care session with Barack Obama the other night, our charming, articulate, exceedingly clever president essentially repeated the same answer to all the questions in roughly the same way. Leave the system alone and it will deteriorate, he said. Sure, there are some questions and problems with what we plan to do. But there has already been plenty of debate. We know what the best answers are. We are going to phase this thing in and it will be pretty much OK in the end.

What was once seen as preordained now seems problematic. A massive reworking of the American health care system, with government as a central player, was thought to be unavoidable with the election of Barack Obama and large Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress. But gradually, as the public and conservative opposition has mounted, there is a real question as to whether we actually will see health care “reform” — at least anything resembling what liberal Democrats have pined for these many years. The idea of health care reform — like “New Politics,” or “hope and change” — was most...

First broken a few hours ago by WaPo, now confirmed by the AP, a little Friday evening care package from The One while the media’s busy obsessing over Jacko and cap ‘n trade. Do bear in mind that, contrary to leftist talking points, it’s not just the fact that some of the evidence against these turds was obtained through “torture” that makes them untriable in regular courts. Other evidence is either classified or was obtained from foreign intel — points that WaPo, to its credit, acknowledges but which our nutroots superiors tend to gloss over. "Such an order would embrace...

"A Himalayan Mountain of contradictory evidence" CAMDEN, N.J. – Despite Attorney Mario Apuzzo’s objection to additional time being granted for defendants to respond to the complaint filed on behalf of Charles F. Kerchner questioning President Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility, U.S. District Magistrate Judge Joel Schneider, for the District of New Jersey, granted an extension until no later than June 29. However, while Schneider noted the defendants’ failure to respond in a timely manner was not caused by neglect, he also stated, “Plaintiffs’ complaint raises significant issues necessitating that the named defendants engage competent counsel to represent their interests. Given the...

The president emphasized that the Iranian nation will not allow any external power to interfere in its internal matters. “I advise the United States and a number of European states to reform their behavior because 70 million people are united in Iran and (ready) to confront bullying powers,” he...

So just how many stimulus jobs have been created or saved so far? The figure remains elusive, but Congress provided one of the first peeks this week by reporting that stimulus has funded 21,000 highway and transit jobs as of May 31. The number, one of the first counts of actual stimulus-based employment, is based on state reports to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Thousands of indirect jobs -- such as the deli employee who prepares lunch for the construction crew or the workers who produce the steel needed for projects -- were also created or sustained. The White...

In an attempt to stall the passage of the Democratic energy bill, Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Friday began reading the text of the 300-page Democratic amendment during his closing remarks on the bill. Republicans contend that no one in the House has read the text of the deal worked out between Agriculture Chairman Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) and Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.). Several GOP sources confirmed Boehner’s decision, which is allowed under the House rule that gives leaders unlimited floor time. This is the latest in a series of protests launched by House Republicans in the...

Congress, driven by President Obama's ambitious political agenda, is out to be a jack of all trades. Just look at its to-do list for this year -- health-care reform, clean energy legislation, overhaul of financial regulation, a rewrite of immigration law, stimulus spending to prod the economy toward recovery. Whew! And with six months left in 2009, who knows what else might be added?

The president was involved in a cross world geopolitical game of chicken with the tyrant of North Korea, Kim Jong Il, and it appears the president blinked. The United States will not use force to inspect a North Korean ship suspected of carrying banned goods, an American official was quoted as saying Friday. An American destroyer has been shadowing the North Korean freighter sailing off China's coast, possibly on its way to Myanmar.
