Romney said before the meeting that he planned to talk about his own bill, the Trust Act, and the president’s plan for regulating vaping products. “If I’m asked for questions I want to talk...

The Obama administration insisted that the Benghazi attacks that killed four Americans erupted from a protest over an anti-Muslim video because any hint of organized terrorism would have debunked President Barack Obama's assertions that his Mideast policy was working, Sen. Jim Inhofe said on Saturday. "They were pushing the video thing because it was just a matter of days before that he had made the American people think that his Middle East policy had stopped all terrorist activity," the Oklahoma Republican told Jeanine Pirro on her Fox News program. "This was a couple of months before the election. "Obviously, with...

Former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn slammed what he called "the Cruz effect" — saying Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz's rhetoric and the Texas senator's inability to follow through on his promises have caused great disenchantment among Americans toward Congress. "I call it 'the Cruz effect,'" Coburn, a Republican who retired last year after 20 years in the Senate, told Sirius XM host Pete Dominick on Thursday. The interview was reported by BuzzFeed News. "When you tell people you can accomplish something that you can't — for example, shutting down the government over the Affordable Care Act," Coburn said. "When, in...

The Oklahoma Supreme Court on Monday temporarily blocked the state from enforcing a ban on a common abortion procedure. In a 6-2 decision, the court ruled that Oklahoma could not enforce a ban on dilation and evacuation abortions, the most common method used in second trimester pregnancies. The preliminary injunction will remain in effect while the Supreme Court decides whether the ban is lawful. The Center for Reproductive Rights asked the court to block the ban from taking effect after an Oklahoma state trial court upheld it earlier this year. “Today’s decision means Oklahomans can continue receiving high-quality, evidence-based abortion...
