Be a Man. Get Married. Published on May 9, 2016 Is bachelor life really the good life? Playing the field, traveling the world, and focusing on career sounds better than tying the knot. But is it possible that married men have more sex and make more money than their single counterparts? Brad Wilcox, sociologist at the University of Virginia, explains.

<p>Monica Lewinsky - Single, living with her mother and still struggling with her weight - but 'set to make $12m with a tell-all book about her affair with Clinton'</p>
<p>Stepping into the pouring rain, her thick hair swept up underneath a cap and rather bizarrely wearing sunglasses despite the gloomy New York weather, the woman went about her business without attracting a single gaze from passers-by.</p>

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough today suggested that Maureen Dowd's new column about the Supreme Court -- which, she argues, "is well on its way to becoming one of the most divisive in modern American history" -- was an attempt by the New York Times to 'play' Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and influence his ruling on the health care law. "It's over the top, so much so that you sense [the New York Times] is playing Anthony Kennedy... because they know Anthony Kennedy is scared to death of the New York Times editorial page." "It's amazing that you would have a...

One thing's for certain about this Harriet Miers mess: The conservative movement can never, ever play the Bork card again. No more whining about liberals tarring-and-feathering Robert Bork in his 1987 Supreme Court confirmation hearing. For two decades, conservative activists have droned on about their spiritual leader's defeat in the Senate. They carry him around on their shoulders as proof of how the establishment's out to get them. Well, forget that nonsense. No more of that cry-babying, not after what conservatives like writer David Frum and organizations like Concerned Women of America — using National Review magazine and The Wall...

I never thought there would be an issue about what age I decided to marry at, which now I realize you don't "decide" to marry. It should just happen. (But sometimes it is a conscious decision for some women that results as an ultimatum. That's an entirely different column.) I'm 35 years old, never married and that makes me "single." I'm not a divorcee or a widow. I'm not dating anyone nor am I "playing the field" since the prospective greenery seems to be missing in my general vicinity. If you're a 35-year-old woman who has substantial control over your...

W vactationed so hard in Texas he got bushed. He needed a vacation from his vacation. So he headed West yesterday to get away from his Western getaway--and the mushrooming Crawford Woodstock--to spend a couple of days at the Tamarack Resort in the rural Idaho mountians. 'I'm kind of hanging loose as they say,' he told reporters. W. didn't go alone of course. Just as he took his beloved feather pillow on the road duing his 2000 campaign, now he takes his beloved bike.An Air Force One steward tenderly unloaded W.'s $3,000.00 Trek fuel mountain bike when he landed in Boise.I...

Clare Coulson thinks she has too many gay friends. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that they are blocking her path to romance. There are women who have gay friends and there are those that don't. I have more gay friends than I know what to do with. It all began when I worked on a glossy magazine where heterosexual men were as rare as split ends. The office was full of flamboyant, witty, entertaining gay men who quickly became close friends and allies. But six years on, for a girl working in the fashion industry, they...

<p>I lay awake in bed for three hours straight this Thursday, panicking that I have become way too choosy when it comes to blind dates. After all, isn't New York full of lonely women in their 30s who think no one is good enough?</p>

WASHINGTON Let's get it straight. The president and the pope aren't riding the new gay wave."I believe a marriage is between a man and a woman," said President Bush last week. "And I think we ought to codify that one way or the other. And we've got lawyers looking at the best way to do that." Trying to add a tolerant note to an intolerant policy, he allowed that he was "mindful that we're all sinners."Last time I checked, we had separation of church and state, so I don't know why the president is talking about sin, or why he...
