MISSION VIEJO, CA – Organizers of an April 15 "Tea Party" are planning a follow-up rally on May 18 to oppose the propositions facing California voters the next day. The propositions are required to implement the February state budget deal. The Saddleback Republican Assembly, which is organizing the rally, is targeting tax increases contained in that deal. The group's president, Michael Ferrall, said the rally is also a protest against what he views as excessive state spending. "It's just a matter of philosophical principle, from a conservative perspective," Ferrall said.
