E-mails containing malicious PDF files have been putting computers at risk since Friday, Finnish security software firm F-Secure said on Saturday. "The e-mails sent in bulk looked like credit card statements, and contained an attachment called 'report.pdf'," its Chief Research Officer Mikko Hypponen said in a statement. I just opened up an Acrobat file, from which I want to select and copy text. However, when I open it, under Acrobat Reader, and move the cursor over the text, the cursor remains as an arrow. That is, it doesn't change into an I-beam, and allow me to highlight text. This situation occurs even though I have clicked on the "select text" command button, on the toolbar on top. I also downloaded the 30 day trial of Acrobat Professional onto my computer, which is running Windows XP Home.
