  • Did a supernova two million years ago brighten the night sky and give our ancestors cancer?

Millions of years ago, a series of nearby supernovae sent radiation and debris raining down to Earth. The events left traces of radioactive iron-60 embedded in the sea floor and even on the Moon, and now, researchers are saying they may have had life-altering effects on the early inhabitants of our planet. At just hundreds of light-years away, two major stellar explosions may have spurred changes to the environment, and even increased the rates of cancer and mutation.

This is indeed the future of Europe. By their irresponsible, short-sighted, suicidal immigration and refugee policies, Europe's political and media elites have ensured a future of violence, bloodshed and chaos for their people. "Sweden, the future of Europe: people stock up on fire arms, police recommend vigilante groups..," by Nicolai Sennels,, December 12, 2015 (thanks to This is a very interesting read, because the whole of Europe is heading the same way as Sweden. Donald Trump latest's close-up is coming from the unlikeliest of magazines: Rolling Stone. The magazine, well known for its progressive bent, interviewed and photographed Trump for its September 24 cover. The article's most-talked-about passage on Wednesday was a Trump comment about rival Republican 2016 candidate Carly Fiorina. Writer Paul Solotaroff was sitting with Trump watching a newscast when a video clip zoomed in on Fiorina. "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?" Trump said to Solotaroff. "Can you imagine that, the face of our next president. Trump added, "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say...

Today, comedian Rosie O’Donnell said “women’s rights“ are under attack in America and that politicians are undoing all the advances abortion activists have made. The Hill reports that O’Donnell told Jenny Hutt on SiriusXM’s radio program that she believes there is a war on women. She said, “Bigger than any specific people, there is a war on women that is happening in this country. Women fought for equality in this country, and right now, politically, it’s being taken away from us.”Then, unbelievably, O’Donnell said she would like to do this to pro-lifers: “I’d like to take my period blood I...

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich is not running for president, but he thinks any Democrat who is – including his “old friend” Hillary Clinton – should worry about Republicans outflanking them on populism. Reich, now a professor at the University of California Berkeley, first met Hillary Clinton when she was a freshman at Wellesley and they marched in civil rights demonstrations together. He met Bill Clinton around the same time at Oxford, when they were both Rhodes Scholars. He went on to work on both of Bill Clinton’s presidential campaigns, and joined the administration. In the Clinton cabinet, he was...

The Federal Election Commission is showing signs that it might allow a Guyana-born American citizen to file papers and raise money to run for president of the United States. The agency released two draft advisory opinions Friday that could permit New York lawyer Abdul Hassan to go through the initial steps to run for president. Hassan was born in the South American country in 1974, and he asked the FEC in July whether he could...

Speaking about the need for high-speed rail, Vice President Joe Biden commented that, "If we don't get a grip, folks, they'll not only be teaching us, they're gonna own our kids." What? If I'd known that all it required to own someone's kids was to discourage him from supporting high-speed rail, I would be beating Angelina Jolie right now in the people's-kids-owning-game. Leaving aside the numerous objections to high-speed rail, this seems like an odd thing to say under any circumstances. I understand that this makes it characteristic of Joe Biden. Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur. Any reputable, criminal profiler will tell you that an execution-style shooting involving multiple victims will, invariably, include missiles and a message. It will also involve victims and a target. These are the earmarks of state-sponsored or state-tolerated terrorism. The recent executions of three Black college students in Newark meet these criteria. They attended Delaware State University. A fourth youth survived a gunshot wound to the head. This was not a botched robbery, and the Black community in Newark needs a Black detective, like in the Tawana Brawley case, to side step a cover-up. Assuming arguendo that the murder suspect, Jose...

DENVER, June 16 (UPI) -- A Colorado appeals court ruling makes legal a common law marriage between a 14-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl. The ruling reverses a lower court finding that a 15-year-old girl was too young for a common law union, the Rocky Mountain News reported Friday. While not firmly establishing a minimum age, the three-judge panel noted that Colorado recognizes English common law unions, which legalize such marriages at 12 for girls and 14 for boys. The decision involves a Weld County case in which a girl identified only as J.M.H. began living with Willis Lee Rouse in...
