Vladimir Bukovsky, the veteran Soviet era dissident, has been charged with making and possessing indecent images of children, the CPS has announced. The 72-year-old, who has been living in the UK since the 1970s, is facing five counts of making indecent images, five of possessing indecent images and one count of possessing a prohibited images. A 7.9 magnitude earthquake has struck Nepal less than 50 miles from the capital, Kathmandu, the U.S. Geological Survey said Saturday. It occurred at a depth of less than two miles, which is considered shallow. The USGS previously rated the temblor at 7.5 magnitude but later upgraded the strength.
