With every day that passes, a new Supreme Court replacement for Justice David Souter looms closer. There is plenty of speculation surrounding who President Barack Obama will choose as his first High Court appointee – but few question which wing of the bench he or she will side with. Since the left wing David Souter is retiring and a left wing justice is likely to take his seat, chances are the balance of the court won’t change dramatically from a bit picture view.
