NEW YORK (AP) — Norah O'Donnell understood the cultural differences that led Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad not to shake her hand before their "CBS This Morning" interview last week, and to request that she not cross her legs.

The New York Post reported Egyptian-American columnist Mona Eltahawy has been arrested for defacing an anti-Muslim ad in the New York subway system. The video shows her spraying pink paint on the ad while a supporter of the ad tries to block her. She's a journalist for censorship. Eltahawy, a former Reuters correspondent, has been a recent favorite of CNN and MSNBC’s weekend morning shows to discuss Egypt, and she often smears together the Islamist “right wing” and the American right wing, as she did on Melissa Harris-Perry just 11 days ago [video and transcript below]: Read more: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim-graham/2012/09/26/cnn-and-msnbc-pundit-arrested-vandalizing-anti-muslim-ad-ny-subway-syste#ixzz27cSJt84l

Addressing the representatives of the United Nations General Assembly in a time of global crisis, President Barack Obama opted to legitimize the growing chorus of critics who condemn America’s provocative right of free speech. The president’s address to the world was anything but a full-throated defense of American values. It was, instead, an abundantly disappointing abdication of his responsibility to defend the cherished freedoms of the nation he leads. Speaking to the assembled delegates of the nations of the world, Obama addressed the crisis in the Middle East – one ongoing since the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohamed...

It was reported recently in this paper — and opined on — that there are students upset over Chick-fil-A being served on campus. First, Chick-fil-A does not have any history of discrimination; rather, it treats its customers and employees with the utmost respect. And, contrary to what one columnist wrote, Chick-fil-A as a company has no policy regarding marriage; it was its CEO who expressed his beliefs. And for that, not only Mr. Cathy but the entire company has been demonized. (Might I point out — the belief held by Mr. Cathy on marriage is the exact same position held...

A hero guard was shot today as he stopped a gunman from entering the Family Research Council in Washington DC. The shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism. Family Research Council is a Christian, conservative based organization. Fox News reports that witnesses say the shooter was speaking out against the Family Research Council's Pro-Life, Pro-Family agenda as he tried to enter the building. A security Guard stopped the shooter to ask where he was going and that is when the security guard was shot. Thankfully, the guard fought back, even after being shot, and was able to...

Huffington Post has an article promoted on its front page, published today at 1:36pm, from an “LGBT rights activist” referring to the Family Research Council as an “extreme right-wing group” and a “hate group”: " …extreme right-wing groups like the Concerned Women for America, Faith and Freedom Coalition, and the Family Research Council are also lauding Ryan’s hyperconservatism on social issues. "And in a sign that Paul Ryan has no qualms about flexing his anti-gay muscles during the campaign to those extreme groups, he has agreed to address the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center deems a...

security guard at the Family Research Council's headquarters in Washington, D.C. is being hailed as a hero after he stopped a gunman posing as an intern, taking a bullet in the arm before wrestling the suspect to the ground. The gunman entered the lobby of the organization's Chinatown headquarters around 10:45 and expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions, Fox News has learned. When the guard, who was not identified, asked him where he was going, he opened fire, according to police.

So, today I go to the bank drive-through, with my 4yo son in tow. Not busy at all, I wait at the teller who is a bit delayed. No cars in the ATM lane next to me. I hear suddenly what sounds like a woman cat-calling very loudly from behind - I'd think it was "stupid bitch" and other cat-calling, but not sure. Then this bright red little car comes up to the ATM with a light-complected black woman driving. I'm not sure but she keeps mouthing off, albeit unintelligible now, and I'm not sure if she's talking on a...

Two lesbian officers filed complaints against the sergeant. They...

For several tense weeks, our nation has been broiling unpleasantly in the cultural equivalent of polyunsaturated fat. And despite any profits or political points made during this Chick-fil-A debacle, I think we’ve all gotten a bit burned. As everyone now knows, this entire ordeal—from the Mike Huckabee-orchestrated “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” to the “Same-Sex Kiss Day” that came after, the talking heads, the relentless stream of articles and opinion pieces on the controversy, the thousands upon thousands of online comments, the vitriolic tweets, impulsive Facebook statuses, and equally tart replies, the strained friendships, heated arguments with family members, all of it—began...

During the height of the Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke controversy in March, software company Carbonite announced it would no longer sponsor the conservative radio host. As CEO David Friend said at the time: No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our...

A powerful New York politician claims she was just speaking as a private citizen when she tried to run Chick-fil-A out of town, but she used her official letterhead and even invoked her position as City Council speaker to apply pressure on the embattled chicken chain. New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who has mayoral aspirations, sent a letter to New York University president John Sexton on Saturday asking the school to immediately end their contract with the fast food restaurant. The Atlanta-based company's sole New York City outlet is in the school's food court. "I write as the...

Chick-Fil-A has become the target of a Democrat-led campaign in support of gay marriage The relentless war by the left on Christians and biblical values has reached a new and more frightening phase with announcements by Democrat mayors and city officials across the country that they are “banning” fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A from their cities because company president Dan Cathy said unapologetically that he is in "support of the traditional family." Make no mistake about it; this is much bigger than Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A.

If liberals needed exposing for their in-your-face-we-hate-you intolerance, the Chick-Fil-A episode has unmasked their bloody fangs. Nobody who believes in traditional marriage may go unpunished. Just like "gay" activists went after those who donated to Proposition 8 in California, they and their fellow travelers are now lunging for the throat of a business that's as American as apple pie and fried chicken. Let's take a look at the back story that brought out the muttations foaming at the mouth for chicken blood and snapping at the heels of the company. It began back in January with a story about Chick-Fil-A...

Last time Rick Santorum tweeted about eating at Chick-fil-A, vile progressives suggested he had a gay, incestuous relationship with his own children. Today Santorum thumbed his nose at the hateful Left by stopping at Chick-fil-A on his way to a Ted Cruz rally. Predictably, the oh-so-tolerant Left couldn’t wait to insinuate that Rick Santorum is a vocal supporter of Chick-fil-A because he’s secretly gay. How original. As always, leave it to Left to use “gay” as a slur...
