Recommended -- This is the annual patriotic July 4th concert. Held on the west lawn of the capitol building. They usually show some of the fireworks toward the end of the concert.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on Independence Day in Washington (all times local): 7:30 p.m. President Donald Trump stuck with a patriotic message during his Fourth of July “Salute to America” speech, steering clear of the political rhetoric many had expected.

And you have all been missing it because the MSM does not want you to know it. There has been great live entertainment. Fireworks begin soon. Here is the only place I can find it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03K5VZj0NNk Back up latter to see all that you missed after the live show is over.

It was excellent. Even CNN, in a report to which Jim Acosta contributed, couldn’t find fault with anything Trump said, although it took the obligatory shots at the event itself. CNN acknowledged that Trump’s speech was not political, but rather “a message of national pride.” Unfortunately, the matter of national pride has become political. But there was nothing in the speech that anyone would have found objectionable before left-liberals rejected the notion of pride in America. There was nothing in the speech that any patriotic American rationally can find objectionable today. You have to dislike America to dislike what Trump...

The “Resistance” warned us that if we elected an authoritarian such as Donald Trump, eventually there would be tanks in the streets of our nation’s capital. Well, on Thursday, their predictions finally came true. I’m kidding, of course, but some on the left are not. Harvard Law professor Laurence H. Tribe tweeted a photo of tanks arriving in Washington for Trump’s “Salute to America” and declared “The resemblance to days before Tiananmen Square is chilling.” At Tiananmen Square in Beijing in 1989, the Chinese regime broke up pro-democracy protests with tanks and troops in a military action that resulted in...

Liberals are loudly denouncing President Trump for his plans to insert himself into Fourth of July festivities in the nation's capital. He'll deliver a speech -- as if that is unique -- and provide tanks for the parade -- as if that's controversial. And so they compare Trump to Kim Jong Un. Then there are others who are using this anniversary to take it in the opposite direction. Those same leftists are using the celebration of our nation to attack her. Their actions are deliberately designed to offend ... to grab everyone's attention ... to please the people who...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) We celebrated America yesterday and loved every minute of it.: We started the day by driving in our big, gas-guzzling SUV over to the neighborhood where our daughter and her family live, which is populated mainly by young families who have moved to our smallish town to take advantage of the wonderful schools here. Rather than go over to Arlington or Fort Worth or other larger nearby cities to take in the long parades taking place there, the families in this neighborhood arrange a July 4 parade of their own each year....

were silent when Obama gave $150 billion to Iran silently in the middle of the night. Democrat candidates continually attack President Trump while showing their lack of patriotism and disdain for the United States. It’s hard for them to defend their socialistic big intrusive government platform.

The U.S. Secret Service says two people were arrested during a Fourth of July flag-burning incident on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House. The arrests were made about one hour before President Donald Trump paid tribute to the U.S. military during a speech at the Lincoln Memorial, according to a statement by the Secret Service on Twitter.

I think the salute to the armed forces and flyover were great. I think it should be done every year. You know the line on the tax form every year that asks: "Would you like $3 of your federal tax to go to the Presidential Election Campaign Fund?" Well, how about a box you can check asking if you'd like some of your tax money to go to a 4th of July Washington,DC military flyover like we had yesterday? May not be enough to fund it every year, but maybe every other year.

Triggered Hollywood stars took to social media on the 4th of July to fire off unhinged screeds about how President Donald Trump’s much-hyped “Salute to America” event, a tribute to the U.S. military, is just more proof of the dictatorship he intends to one day establish in America. “So we’ve got people cheering tanks that are rolling through the streets of the capitol and children in cages on our border. Happy Birthday, America!” said The Office star Rainn Wilson.

Donald Trump braved rainy weather to deliver a speech at his Fourth of July 'Salute to America' event from behind a panel of bulletproof glass. The president welcomed crowds on the National Mall to a 'very special' Fourth of July holiday before launching in his pre-prepared remarks. 'Today we come together as one nation with this very special Salute to America,' he told the sea of red, white and blue-clad revelers.

When it comes to the liberal media and President Trump, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. MSNBC gave a classic example of the phenomenon this morning. In the days leading up to the Salute to America parade, the liberal media had savaged it, and in particular the prospect of tanks rolling down the streets of DC. But when the event actually unfolded, and instead of tanks rolling down the streets, armored vehicles were parked rather inconspicuously on display, that was no good, either. To the contrary, in place of Morning Joe's first hour at 6 am Eastern,...

A large panel of CNN contributors give reactions and takes blasting President Trump's Fourth of July "Salute to America" event and his speech talking about American and military history. Former Admiral John Kirby said he was "troubled about the militaristic tone of the whole thing" and mocked President Trump's speech as "essentially 8th-grade history that was fairly sepia-toned and saccharine in its depth and context." "I could have gotten this off of watching Schoolhouse Rock," Kirby added. (Remember to watch/read it all.)

US President Donald Trump has blamed a teleprompter going "kaput" for a glaring anachronism in his Fourth of July speech. He told crowds on Independence Day the Continental Army "took over the airports" from the British during the American Revolutionary War in 1775. Explaining away the slip-up on Friday, Mr Trump also said it was hard to read the teleprompter in the rain. He hosted a military parade at the Lincoln Memorial on Thursday. During his "Salute to America" speech, he was talking about the year 1775 when he said: "Our army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it...

It appears that CNN can't take a holiday from its constant bashing of President Trump, as a panel on Thursday ripped the "Salute to America" speech he had just given to a huge Fourth of July crowd. Following remarks that celebrated America's history and honored the U.S. military, the liberal news network launched a firing squad beginning with former President Obama official and CNN analyst John Kirby saying he was "troubled about the militaristic tone" of the event. "We were treated to essentially eighth-grade history that was fairly sepia-toned and saccharine in its depth and context. In fact, it was...

Well, that was something. Over the course of about 28 minutes of airtime (including commercials) following the President’s Fourth of July event A Salute to America, CNN’s The Situation Room put on one of the most disgraceful displays of liberal media bias, Trump hatred, and slights at America you’ll ever see. Attacking the President like bitter preschoolers, a cast of CNN personalities bashed the Trump speech as a “rudimentary†“eighth grade history†report ripping off of Schoolhouse Rock and Wikipedia to create a work of “jingoism and militaristic virtue.â€HereÂ’s the Worst Moments from CNNÂ’s Deranged Assault on TrumpÂ’s Fourth of...

FULL TITLE: Rush Limbaugh: Left 'scared out of their wits' about Trump July 4 parade, Kaepernick 'fooled everybody' Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday that liberals are terrified by President Trump's planned parade to celebrate Independence Day. "The flag makes people tend to think more like a Republican. It tends to make people support Republicans. It tends to inspire patriotic thoughts," said Limbaugh, citing a Harvard study. "The left remembers this, and they are terrified of tomorrow [Thursday], especially the people actually in Washington," Limbaugh continued. "I think that, truth be told, they are scared out of...
