Excavations of a Mesolithic site on Skye could give new insights into the lives of some of the island's earliest residents. Archaeologists believe the location above Staffin Bay has the remains of a house that could be 8,000 years old. Mesolithic flints have previously been found in an area of eroded grazing land near the site. Archaeologists will work with Staffin Community Trust and volunteers in making small excavations. The University of the Highlands and Islands' Archaeology Institute will lead the investigation. Four people are feared dead after tsunami waves struck the coast of Greenland on Saturday night. HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Tsunami Watch has been issued for all Hawaiian islands after a large earthquake struck near the Solomon Islands, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. The quake, which struck around 7:38 a.m. HST, measured at a preliminary magnitude of 8.0, the U.S. Geological Survey said. If tsunami waves impact Hawaii, the estimated earliest arrival of the first tsunami wave would be 2:56 p.m. HST. TOKYO (AP) -- An earthquake with preliminary magnitude of 7.3 has struck off the coast of Fukushima prefecture in Japan. A tsunami warning for waves of up to three meters (10 feet) has been issued. The Japan Meteorological Agency says the quake struck around 6 a.m at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).
