Saying Christians and Muslims can be friends, a Muslim scholar from Canada gave 15 reasons why they should to a downtown Tulsa audience Friday night. But a Christian minister from Tulsa who used to be a Muslim questioned the tolerance of his former religion and asked whether a program such as Friday's, held at the Tulsa Convention Center, could even take place in a Muslim nation.

Tulsa - Tulsa Police are searching for a man who has been exposing himself in convenience stores in South Tulsa. They say he is only wearing a diaper. That's right, a diaper. So far, he's been spotted at a store at 81st and Mingo as well as two stores near 91st and Memorial. (DOWNTOWN TULSA, Okla.) May 25 - Many people in the Hispanic community are not happy with a city council resolution that targets illegal immigrants. The resolution passed last night, and would require city police officers to check the immigration status of anyone arrested for a felony or misdemeanor. If they're found to be illegal, the resolution says police must notify immigration and customs enforcement within 24 hours. When someone is arrested they’re required to provide one of three things, a driver’s license, immigration papers or a green card. We covered this on the air yesterday, but again people are demanding details. We've often asked on the air why, if Islam the peaceful religion that many Muslims want us to believe it is, we don't hear more Muslims speaking out against Islamic terrorism. Well, now we may have an explanation. Jamal Miftah is a Muslim residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is an immigrant from Pakistan. Jamal Miftah is a member of the Islamic Center of Tulsa Mosque. On October 29th Jiftah wrote an article for the op-ed page of the Tulsa World. Here is what he wrote:

The governing board of Tulsa's Al-Salam mosque ruled Wednesday night that a Pakistani native who had been banned from the mosque can return. Houssam Elsoueissi, president of the operating council at the mosque, said he would announce at Friday's service that Jamal Miftah is free to attend services as long as there is no disturbance, and that no one at the mosque should confront him. Miftah was banned last week after a confrontation at the mosque over a guest commentary he wrote that appeared Oct. 29 in the Tulsa World.
