A Tulsa police captain who disobeyed an order to make officers attend a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at a Tulsa mosque was suspended without pay for two weeks. His suspension began June 12 and will end June 25, according to a personnel order signed by Police Chief Chuck Jordan. A Tulsa police captain has filed a federal lawsuit claiming his civil rights were violated after he was reassigned and placed under investigation for refusing to order officers to attend a voluntary social event at a mosque. TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa woman's headless body was found inside her home and police believe she may have died in late December or early January. Tulsa Police made the discovery Monday morning in the 5300 block of East 21st Street while checking on the well-being of the 55-year-old woman who had not been seen since Christmas Day. They say when they arrived at the Chicken Hut, they found Verner lying on the ground in front of the restaurant's pick-up window.
