DOVER, Del. — In her first campaign ad since winning the GOP primary, Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell assures voters: "I'm not a witch." O'Donnell's been dealing with questions about witchcraft since a 1999 confession on a late-night talk show surfaced that she had dabbled in it as a teenager. ...

Yesterday a video surfaced of Christine O’Donnell’s appearance on the Bill Maher show, a comedy show and place where Democrats get their news, where O’Donnell claims to have dabbled in Witchcraft. Again I say is this the best these cross-burning, pot smoking, adulterous tax cheats can come up with? Let’s just completely overlook the fact that she was on a comedy show. Seriously, if Robert Byrd was on this show he would have said that ” I dabbled in the KKK,” or Hillary Clinton used to participated in “strange moments of imaginary conversation with deceased Eleanor Roosevelt from solarium atop...

Here is video of a new ad put out by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s opponent – John Dennis – that portrays Pelosi as the “Wicked Witch of the West” from the Wizard of Oz. Wow, is that ad cheesy – but it certainly makes the point!

England need all the help they can get to beat Slovenia today and advance to the second round of the World Cup. So Fabio Capello's side will presumably be happy to hear that the curse that is the real reason for their struggles so far has been lifted.Ed Prynn, the Archdruid of Cornwall, says he has lifted the magical burden that was placed on the team in Cape Town — by an African witch doctor. The 73-year-old mystic, from Padstow, said that the likes of Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard, who have so far performed poorly at the tournament, will...

Helen Thomas, the wicked witch of the West Wing, believes munchkins should return to their homes and leave Munchkinland. "They are occupiers," said Thomas. "Itty, teeny, weeny, little occupiers, but occupiers nonetheless." Thomas, who has served as the wicked witch of the West Wing since the Johnson administration--the Andrew Johnson administration--has had on ongoing feud with the munchkins. She cites their parliamentary democracy and the crushing of her sister with a house as reasons for her hatred of little people. Willie, leader of the Anti-Defamunchkin League, asked Thomas to apologize for her statements.

'Police say Angela Sanford, 30, told detectives she killed Joel Leyva with a dagger after luring him to the open space to drink alcohol and celebrate a Wiccan holiday. The two had met at a casino last week and had talked by phone early Monday about meeting in the open space. Sanford allegedly took off her most of her clothes and then stabbed Leyva as many as 13 times. Sanford later encountered several people in the open space and told them she had been raped, which detectives now say is not true. She is being held at the Metropolitan Dentention...

WASHINGTON — Democratic leaders from Congress to the White House vowed Friday to resurrect their long-stalled health care legislation, with or without Republican suggestions or votes. "We know what happens if we do nothing: more and more people pay more," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. "The president believes we still have to act." Nearly a year after President Barack Obama set the overhaul effort in motion, Gibbs said the president would make an announcement, probably on Wednesday, about "where he sees a path moving forward." Gibbs said the next few days would be a "fairly dynamic process" as...

Are witch-doctors still part of the anecdotal, primitive folk-lore of Africa? Yes, they are. The witch-doctor, however, does not feature in the safari package; he is still a nasty reality, who holds many people helpless in his “supernatural” grip. His “shrine” isn’t to be seen in the picture post-cards; it is hidden in the forest. His rags, shaggy hair and paraphernalia have not started a fashion craze; they are dirty and ugly. Yet, he is feared. The Ugandan government, according to a recent BBC report, is worried about the increase of witch-craft, witch-doctors, and, consequently, the human sacrifices, especially children....

Note to fashion reporters: Don't ask Nancy Pelosi what she's wearing. At Tuesday's state dinner, Washington Post's Robin Givhan approached the House Speaker and, according to a pool report, asked, "Is your gown Armani?" "Pelosi shot her a disapproving stare and rolled her eyes a bit," says the pool report. She also refused to answer Givhan's follow up question, "What was that look?!"

The rhetorical "water witch" of the Pasadena Star News, staff writer Rebecca Kimitch, has an op-ed disguised as a news story on water rates rising in San Gabriel Valley - read here http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/rds_search/ci_13612524 Since Kimitch likes to cast personal attacks and bad omens on Republicans and conservatives in many of her so-called "news" stories, perhaps the rhetorical term "water witch" is fitting (a "water witch" is a person who claims to be able to find underground water with a divining rod; aka a sorceress). Kimitch's news story merely regurgitates what several local water agency public relations types, or rhetorical "witch...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi considered gaveling Joe Wilson out of order Wednesday night, but decided against calling out the South Carolina Republican in front of a national audience. “The episode was unfortunate. He has apologized. It’s time to talk about health care,” Pelosi told reporters today. But Pelosi, who appeared startled, then angry, after Wilson’s outburst, acknowledged that she was “shocked” at the incident. Pelosi said that she thought about taking formal action against Wilson but quickly decided that was not appropriate. And she said that President Obama “did the right thing” in simply resuming his speech after the heckling....

Villagers, many straight from their farms, and armed with machetes, sticks and axes, are shouting and crowding round in a big group in Kenya's fertile Kisii district. I can't see clearly what is going on, but heavy smoke is rising from the ground and a horrible stench fills the air. More people are streaming up the hill, some of them with firewood and maize stalks. Suddenly an old woman breaks from the crowd, screaming for mercy. Three or four people go after her, beat her and drag her back, pushing her onto - what I can now see - is...

A group of British witches is claiming religious discrimination after a Stockport Catholic church banned them from using its social club for their Crystal Cauldron Witches Ball. Sandra Davis, High Priestess at the Crystal Cauldron, had reserved Our Lady's Social Club in Shaw Heath, Stockport for her Pagan group's Annual Witches' Ball, the UK Telegraph reports. But when she rang to make payment arrangements she was told the event could not be held there and, despite already having printed tickets, another venue must be found. The Diocese of Shrewsbury have since confirmed witches are not "compatible with the Catholic ethos."
