Here is a very good analysis from 2012- someone investigating it thinking it would be damning to her and Ted, but instead, they came out looking more like Conservative champions.

Heidi’s disagreement with the NAU plan was that it should not be government enforced but left to the private sector. She didn’t disavow dropping the borders and sovereignty. And why was she a member of the CFR anyway? Oh, I know, so she can keep her eye on them, right?

The Trump camp has started to bring up Heidi Cruz's involvement with the CFR's paper on the North American Union hoping that people don't look up what her role actually was in that. Cruz was not there to promote the NAU, on the contrary, she was brought in as a critic and defender of US sovereignty and the free market. Considering the NAU plans seem to have died, one could argue looking back years later, that she helped kill the plan.

Doh!

...Considering the NAU plans seem to have died...

Really? Looks pretty successful thus far...all it needs is...say...someone in a powerful political position and someone very knowledgeable about the subject and tied to the banking industry so that between the two of them, they have the power of government and the financial industry to help usher it in.

What a bunch of bull. She favored a 'Free Market" control of the union...cutting out government and making whatever authority was set up independent of federal control. And if the damned thing is dead someone needs to tell Vincente Fox, General David Petreaus and the CFR! General David Petraeus, as the Chairman of the KKR Global Institute was on TV just last week pushing for an EU style union between the US, Mexico and Canada. Easing restrictions at both borders and finally passing Comprehensive Immigration Control. Does that sound like it's dead to you???!

“We must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us — truly the measure of our success. As such, investment fundsand financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.”

Specifically what is wrong with this paragraph?

I read all that a long time ago in an attempt to really ferret out the truth.

Heid’s big contribution? Saying that the free markets must control? What do you expect from a Goldman Sachs employee. Free market like NAFTA?

Not one word does she say about being against a North American Union, which she must know gives up all sorts of protections for American workers and American sovereignty.

Is there any agreement with LDS, Doninionists and Seventh Day Adventists about a One World Government with regional Unions as a stepping stone?

Fixed typo. One eye fixed. One more to go to be able to see typos a little easier. Sorry.

That is a portion of her “additional view”. Here is her entire “additional view”

I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us - truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants. - Heidi S. Cruz

I knew Petraeus was teaching that but didn’t know about last week’s rally. Should have been shared. Do you know which outlet he was on?
