How to get rid of visceral fat: Following this eating pattern could reduce the belly fat

HOW TO get rid of visceral fat: This type of body fat is deemed harmful because of where it’s stored in the body - the abdominal cavity - so what can you do to reduce it? Making changes to diet has been shown to help, and following a particular eating pattern has proven effective.

Visceral fat’s location within the abdominal cavity means it surrounds vital organs such as the liver, stomach and intestines. If visceral fat is left to build up here, a person’s risk of developing serious health problems, like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, is increased. Related articles

Eating a poor diet has been linked to visceral fat build up, so making changes to the food you eat is advised.

When it comes to an overall diet to follow, a particular eating pattern has been shown to help get rid of visceral fat - intermittent fasting.

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that involves cycling between periods of eating and fasting.

One low-carb diet which has proven particularly effective at getting rid of visceral fat is the ketogenic diet.

Ketogenic diets drastically reduce carb intake and replace it with fat, putting the body in a natural metabolic state called ketosis.

They also have their low-carb article on full lockdown, a very rare treatment usually reserved for articles on things like the deaths of Seth Rich or Jeffy Epstein, or where Obama was really born.

I love this.

Maybe if the real Clemenza had done Keto, he would have been in Godfather II.

Keto is an annoying cult. Nothing beats eating a balanced diet (carbs included) and hitting the gym.

In other news, Dr Atkins is still dead.

Support your local farmers and buy locally-grown grass-finished beef.

If you can, find a good butcher who knows their stuff. Most supermarket beef is low-quality and fed a bunch of chemicals.

A disproven theory as the human body is dynamic and has contributing factors such as metabolic rate.

why slam people if it is working for them? Yes balanced diet and working out does work but there are other ways to lose...cutting calories, cutting carbs, fasting...if you weigh less at the end, have better numbers than before and the doctor says you are doing well then honestly why slam them? At least they aren’t saying screw it and giving up hope...

Guess what, skinny people get cancer and heart attacks, too. Losing weight is just a by-product of a keto diet, but there’s much more to it than just weight loss.

Had great results on a modified Atkin’s diet, meaning I can have dairy. Lost the 10 lbs, now I have 1 day a week I can eat anything I want..usually pizza or spaghetti. I also take an excellent vitamins supplement. It’s a liguid from toyourhealth.com. It works for me. Pill vitamins don’t all dissolve, so liquid is better. Very complete in vitamins and minerals. Worth every penny.

I did my first 40 hour fast this week.

Had some broth, then a few hours later made eggs, bacon, etc. I filled up so fast!

The truth is that there isn’t just one person eating. There are also millions of bacteria who need to eat. Agreed that full on keto is not necessary longer term. It’s a diet for treating massive obesity or various neurological conditions. It’s fine for short term weight loss.

But for most people, what they need to lose weight is low carb (50-100g depending on how much they have to lose), strong healthy sourced protein WITH ITS NATURAL FATS, and cooked root vegetable carbs with resistant starch for the bacteria to eat. No sweets, breads, processed foods, or fruits. (You can add in fruits when you are at goal weight). Sometimes you will be in ketosis; sometimes you might not be. It doesn’t matter, for the average person.

If you feed the good gut bugs, they will crave only healthy carbs like cooked Root vegetables, and you will have zero cravings for sweets. That alone will keep your weight in balance.

The gut bug cravings are powerful. They control our brains powerfully. Make sure your population of species is the good kinds.

I recently saw a doctor who advocates low-carb diets to help with some medical conditions instead of all medicine treatments. He gave me some specifics regarding a keto diet. My difficulty in getting into it fully is trying to figure out how to count up all the grams of each type. Do you have any websites, books, or other resources you use to track these things that you could recommend? I have also done the 16-18 hour fast for most days and that I can do easily and feel better eating that way.

I completely agree...are you saying this in agreement with me or as a comment to Clemenza who clearly has a beef with Keto?

I have trouble digesting fats so the fasting works better for me. I basically stopped eating after 3 pm except for bread/milk at bedtime with meds. No artificial sweeteners. No exercise because of a health condition. Lost 40 pounds in 2 years. Plus I get cortisone injections every 3-4 months for pain. Those are the difficult parts of staying disciplined. The cortisone suppresses the button in the brain that says “ok, I’m full”.

I don’t count macros, I tend to focus more on nutrients and note a ballpark ratio of fats to proteins. I especially pay attention to how much Potassium I’m getting.

The standard american (balanced) diet has resulted in the expansion of heart disease and Type II diabetes across the world at exponential rates. It is one of the greatest lies perpetrated on the human race.
