A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Yes, exactly. Which is why I began using eBay and Amazon in the first place. I couldn’t find what I needed in my size for the prices I could afford to pay.
So now, I get stuff cheap with no S&H, plus free returns.
I haven’t bought or sold anything on eBay in a long time. So imagine my surprise when I got a charge to my PayPal for “seller fees.” I called, claimed a scam, was told I’d get a refund, but I never did.
Then I got another charge. Apparently I’d been signed up for an eBay store. They claimed my account had been compromised, but who gets any benefit signing me up for an eBay store besides eBay?
I canceled and got my refunds into eBay. As soon as they are transferred to my paypal account I’m closing my eBay account.
I’m not a seller, only a buyer. And the few problems I’ve had have been resolved in a hurry. I wouldn’t be able to afford a lot of the things I need or want were it not for eBay.
As far as PayPal is concerned, whenever I get an email that says I owe some money for something, or that my account is compromised, I just forward it to spoof@paypal.com and they take care of it for me.
I can’t afford to have anyone messing with my money, even in small amounts.

Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run. Andrew Marvell

Time Running
We tend to spend time running,
Or, glancing at the clock, in waiting,
For some event, or happenstance,
To fill our lives, anticipating,
Perhaps a reward for being patient,
Or seeking satisfaction somehow,
That our needs will have fulfillment,
To bring our future to our now.
Time is but a tap upon resources,
To leave it running without using it,
Is wasteful in the extreme,
Do not go through days abusing it,
But savor it, and use it with delight,
In every moment, and splash of liquid essence,
For every drop of time you waste,
Is one more heartbeat lost to effervescence.
Dissipating into silence, and washing darkness,
With forgetfulness, and memory with sleep.
Time comes running, like a child in joy,
To be caressed and treasured, not slip into the deep.
We are creatures, not of steps but of motion,
A whirlwind of random swerves and miles,
Gathering fruits of storm-drawn blessings,
Having earned them only with our smiles.

It just slips right through our fingers, doesn’t it, Bob?
Great insight! Thanks! <3
Very nice, Bob. Evocative, atmospheric even.
Yeah, well, I was having enough trouble making it even rhyme.
That’s why I wanted to transfer the Luciferin gene from fireflies to the tobacco plant — in order to develop tobacco products that could light themselves.
Happy Saturday, all! Today's kitten lives in Taipei, Republic of China, where he wonders, "Why would people with a white cat buy bright-red furniture?"
Kitteh is right to ask such a question of Western Folks...
Good morning.
Time flies when one is having fun.
I’ve packed a little and disassembled a small table and the rug is nearly ready to be vacuumed. When that’s done, I’ll to to Walgreen’s and get the prescription I forgot to pick up yesterday, then clean the rug. Depending on how quickly it dries, I may be able to get rolled up today. If not, tomorrow, for sure.
Then I can begin to pack in earnest, beginning with the books. THAT should allow me to make fairly good progress in a short amount of time.

Busy, busy, busy! We’ve had choir practice, and my next thing will be a Pat Driving Adventure going first to a friend’s house to return a jar (originally full of jam), and then to Petsmart for crickets and Target for “something I want for my phone” which will be paid for by the young employee his own self, whatever it is.
Looks like a Siamese. They’re the worst.
Shannon doesn’t like it when people yell, or when they speak loudly in a clear, emphatic voice, but she doesn’t mind singing, and she’s extremely fond of guitar.
One day, I was in Tom’s room reading a list of course numbers to him over the phone, and Shannon came out from under the bed and called me a lot of very rude things.
And Siamese have the absolutely worst voices....often wondered if they were breed to match the voice tonalties of the Orient.
I’m going to need Sunday, and that will be my rest for the next week.
Right now, I’m focusing on the rug, and after that, then the rest will be done as quickly as possible. Just because I know that when I’m done, it will be time to leave.
More news about church, too. After Conference next weekend, we will go to church at 1330, and in “the north building.” I have no idea where that is, nor do I know if any services at all will be held in the current building, since they’re getting it ready for another “split.” We’re adding another ward to it, as the church just keeps growing at amazing rates.
Anyway, I’ll try to make arrangements to go to the 0900 service wherever I can. There’s a church on 600 North, that I passed on the way to Walmart when the detour was in effect, so maybe that’s the “north building.” I’ll find out tomorrow.
That kitteh looks positively, absolutely MIFFED off! ;o]
LOL!
This is very true!!
