I’ll try that next. I have more to cut. Hadn’t thought about increasing the size of the cloves...mine are small (not the Elephant cloves) so this will be a good experiment.

Such a GOOD start and then .... I blew it.

I’ve got maybe 2 seedlings and they aren’t moving.

My WM Sweet Peppers were looking good - very lame now - 3 so-so seedlings. I’ll be trying the old transplant maybe this week, Lord willing.

sigh

Help! Rabbit repellent ideas? Cannot include fencing. I have moth cakes, insect repellent, cayenne pepper, green mouse poison cubes, common garage items. Never had a problem in 35 years!

Similar ingredients to commercial ‘Repels All.’ If you’re spraying on salad greens, be sure to wash them thoroughly before you eat them! ;)

Recipe for DIY Homemade Rabbit Repellent

1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
1 tablespoon dish soap
5 garlic cloves
1-gallon water
Empty milk jug

Peel garlic cloves and place into a milk jug. Add dish soap and crushed red peppers along with 1 gallon of water. Shake the container to mix ingredients.

Place the jug in the sun for two days to ensure the water becomes entirely concentrated with the ingredients. Shake well before using repellent. Apply to plants targeted by rabbits.

Reapply every five days for several weeks before you begin seeing results. In case of heavy rain, reapply as soon as the weather clears to ensure the mixture remains effective.

thanks!!! I can do that. they are eating broccoli and lettuce and yesterday I went out and got more plants. Have to do something today, I was going to try garlic powder and soap shavings. I am going to lay the hose out too, I just read they will think it is a snake.

thanks I may have to resort to something like that. Our budget is tight so I am hoping the hose and garlic and collars work.

there is an evil satanic spirit...true...but then you come and read about gardening stories, and see beautiful pics of flowers, and perhaps you catch the Space X flight, and you realize we have parallel universes almost...those who want to have love, peace, accomplishment in their lives and those that do not....

lets be thankful we're the former, not the later...

Really really good. Incredibly creamy and delicious.

GRAHAM CRUST: 2-1/4 c graham crumbs (36 squares), 2 tb sugar, 1/2 tea cinnamon, 1/2 cup butter, melted
ICE CREAM: 1-1/2 cups sugar, 3.4 oz pkg instant-type cheesecake (or vanilla) pudding mix, qt h/cream, 2 cups milk, 2 tea vanilla.

Combine blueberry mixture; bring to boil then simmer until slightly thickened. Chill.
Combine graham mixture; pat onto sheetpan. Lightly brown 350 deg 10-15 min; cool completely. Crumble and set aside.

ICE CREAM beat cream cheese smooth. Slowly add sugar then beat in sour cream followed by cream.
