Get Ready for an Actual War
American Greatness ^ | 2 May, 2022 | Dan Gelernter

Posted on 05/03/2022 5:44:56 AM PDT by MtnClimber

Are we utterly deranged? Wasn’t a large portion of America inexorably against war just a few years ago? Have we so completely forgotten everything in the past 10 years and the past 100 years that we’re willing to call for “regime change” in one of the largest and most bellicose nations in the world?

And yet a majority of the population is now busting out the Ukrainian flags when Joe Biden says that Russia’s Putin must go. What exactly do we think is going to happen now? Is anyone thinking?

Listen America, let me remind you of a few things: First, you don’t care at all about Ukraine. I’m willing to bet that most Americans couldn’t have picked it out on a blank map of Europe two months ago. I’ll even double the ante and bet that a majority of Americans still couldn’t pick it out on a blank map of Europe. And yet we’re willing to make this a holy casus belli?

Of course, my own instincts put me on the help-Ukraine bandwagon. After all, I have been telling literally anyone who would listen for the last 10 years (all two of them) that we were heading toward war with Russia. But my goal in warning about this was to find a way to avoid the war. If you’re one of those people who has put the Ukrainian flag on your Facebook profile pic (which probably means you also put the “I got vaccinated” frame on your profile pic) let me ask you this: Does it make you suspicious when our government and all of our media, including Fox News, unanimously tell you the same thing? Does it bother you at all when the two least-trusted institutions in the entire nation are reading from the same page,

The number of freepers that have become Bidenistas is disturbing.

I am sure most feel great sympathy for the civilian deaths and all of the destruction. But, pain and suffering is one of the tools that the left uses. Just remember that the "Great Reset" needs society to collapse so they can "Build Back Better". A WWIII would fit their needs.

It seems the major world powers are all engaged in self destruction.

China with unnecessary lockdowns.

Russia with an unnecessary war.

US and Europe with unnecessary deficit spending and immigration.

We are, and the most amazing part of that manipulation is that a nuclear war is not a real risk, which makes it all the more real.

Joetato’s push for war with Russia through proxy Ukraine is as equally STUPID/RETARTED/ASSINE as thinking you can vaccinate your way out of a pandemic.
In other words, we are seeing another zealous application of Liberal Dem Logic, this time with Nuclear War as a real potential adverse reaction.
Buckle Up !!

One of the most corrupt countries in Europe. I’m convinced that they’re the clearinghouse for a lot of politicians ill-gotten gains.

I hope they both lose. Austin is a horrible general, but the ‘Weaken Russia’ plan is another way of saying, ‘They were dumb enough to make the same mistake we just made in Afghanistan. Now it’s our turn to supply Russia’s enemy with stuff to kill Russians. We just didn’t think that Russia would lose so much of their ground force as quickly as they did. Unexpected benefit.’

completely forgotten everything in the past 10 years
***They seem to have completely forgotten that in 2012 oil & gas reserves were being explored by Exxon and western oil companies. This war is about oil & gas reserves. The last time we had an oppressive regime invade their neighbor over oil & gas, an international coalition kicked his ass back to Iraq.

Why Russia wants to invade Ukraine

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4050958/posts

The Russians weren’t even interested in eastern Ukraine until oil was found there. Their interest is simply in raping that country. Russia gets 60% of its revenues from oil exports. Europe gets 40% of their oil from Russia.

In 2012 massive oil and gas reserves were found in Crimea. Crimea signed a $10 billion exploration contracts with Shell and Chevron to develop the new found oil and gas fields. These oil and gas products would compete in Europe with Russia’s oil and gas, reducing Russia’s oil revenues, which we recall amount to 60% of their total GDP. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, cancelling the contracts with Shell and Chevron.

But Ukraine still had massive reserves in, you guessed it, Donetsk and Luhansk, and other areas East of the Dnieper River. In 2019, Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited Ukraine, and soon after Ukraine awarded exploration contracts to a consortium of U.S. oil companies. Again, these oil reserves would compete in Europe with Russian oil, so Putin is invading Ukraine to shut down this latest attempt to extract Ukrainian oil and sell it in competition with Russian oil.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the “Putin feels threatened by NATO expansion” excuses for the invasion.

If the Ukes allow some small region in the west to be its own republic, but the OIL belongs to Ukraine, do ya think Pootypoot would allow that? Nope.

“Covid is presently controlling China.”

No, Covid is being used as a cover to control the population of some big, powerful cities.

Sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar. The war is here in America and we are losing. But people like you are more interested in dancing to the msm’s tune then defending your own country. That is why we fail.

“China is not presently able to invade Taiwan.”

50 CCP precision missiles into the 50 largest Taiwanese electrical substations. Plunging Taiwan into darkness. Taiwanese are way softer than Ukrainians.

It’s very disturbing. And, it seems very clear to me that this country is deliberately being slow-walked into war.

Story after story framing Putin as evil, as being I’ll with puffy face, of being mentally unstable. Pouring billions into Ukraine. Using Ukraine as the US military proxy to sink Russian ships, US drones to kill Russian generals. Basically, Ukraine has become the military puppet of the US, much like Biden is Obama’s puppet.

Tell me, why is there not one word about efforts to bring about a peaceful resolution to this? Nope, just a steady drumbeat for cranking up the war machine with every Democrat politician visiting Ukraine and calling for more.

Why are Democrats suddenly in a bloodlust for war? Why isn’t the “No blood for oil” crowd clamoring for peace?

Will Democrats get us even more directly involved this summer before the elections? You know, Putin bad, save Zelenskyy and strong Biden and Democrats are fighting for “Democracy”, all while creating the Ministry of Truth to suppress political dissent.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the majority of Americans couldn’t pick out Europe, on a blank map of Europe.

There is a distinct possibility that it could be used to hide a mass mobilization preperatory to a move against Taiwan.

The east of Ukraine has most of their defense production, heavy industrial might, oil, natural gas, and the best farm land. Now it’s pretty much Russia’s again. Putin doesn’t recognize the breakup of the Soviet Union, and wishes he was the head of the Communist Party Soviet Union like Andropov.

Putin came on board after Russia signed away sovereignty of those regions to Ukraine in exchange for relinquishing nukes. We signed that agreement. Russia has violated it twice by invading, the Ukes honored it by giving up their nukes, and we are dealing with a contingent of people who are actively looking to betray the Ukes but keep the nukes.
