Surprise! He was drafted and sent to Vietnam as a translator of intercepted communications.

Ever since these and “smoke eaters” were around, I’ve often wondered why these units, since they work at the molecular level, wouldn’t be quite effective in defeating pathogens. (like viruses)

They are. You can, with caution, put an ozone generator in a big box outside and give groceries, packages, etc. an ozone bath, that WILL do the job on any exposed pathogens.
It’s pretty obvious to me that sympathy is not the goal of the trollish behavior. It is disruption and steering the thread and discussion away from anything resembling meaningful.
Its persistent sniping is really worthy of any direct response.
