Maybe biden could use one of these to hold himself up.
I carry earplugs with me everywhere to reduce all loud annoying noise. I also throw out all junk mail for hearing aids. I’m planning on never using my Medicare Advantage hearing benefit.
Architects usually don’t consider the noise impact of their building. Friends raved about Home 2 Suites. The glass windows and unpadded furniture made the open lobby an echo chamber. I’ve never been to one again.
Thank you for posting the transcript. That was an interesting read.
I spent a week in ONT fishing.
This could mean I could carry half the gas for the same distanced traveled.
Well worth it when flying into remote lakes.
When I saw this prop a few months ago, I thought it was based on our Dear Leader’s brain functionality...
Wife & I got excited to think that, if we could afford the horrendous cost, we could go bass fishing with our bidenprop getting us to our favorite spots much quicker and more efficiently...
Wow!
Do I see a Tomak here? An improved toilet bowl shape? A new Crispy Creme shape? Hopefully it will result in less noisy drones so "The State" can spy on us quietly! : )
They need to stop making super colliders that spread out over 30 or 40 miles and just make a series of stepped larger concentric mobius doughnuts each with an exit point to the outside of the next loop. Then they need to site them on Martha's Vineyard so they pose no threat to the continental US.
Very interesting, I would like one of these for my fan.
I hate noisy fans.
S.C. I wonder if a wind driven rotating array of those in a vertical configuration on a pole could be used as a bird safe alternative to the current Helicopter Chopper type Bird Flindering Wind Generation eye sores?
Yikes. Definitely want to keep tabs on your depth.
..........It never ends.............
Hee Hee. That’s what my dad used to say about wiping your butt with a hula hoop.
My understanding is that this was the result in trying to get drone propellers to be more quiet. The vortex generated at the tips of the blades make much of the noise. These are greatly reduced by this design....then it turns out to be useful with water propellers.
To me, the toroidal propeller seemed louder than the 8 bladed propeller.
This engineer and self-educated aerodynamicist (me) is fascinated with this. Tip cavitation in the water, or supersonic turbulence in air, has been a bugaboo of screw propellers since they were first invented. Both are serious energy-wasters, never mind the military acoustics angle.
Occurs to me that this shape would probably been impossible to even define without our current generations of computers, and equally impossible to MAKE. The actual “blade” contours would have to be fairly accurate. And how do you verify that your mfg.process is getting it right? That’s where my old employer Zeiss would come in. Zeiss’ unique high precision measuring machines could do it. Again a beneficiary of massive computer power.
Amazing how much hearing sounds again annoys you after years of semi silence. Makes you have to get up and fix that leaky faucet you haven't heard for years. Lots of other annoying sounds you didn't know were there since they just gradually went away.
The toroidal wind power works on small scales, and is catching on here and there in more rural settings.
And they need to move Martha’s Vineyard to the Supercollider sight in East Texas that got abandoned because of Fireants.
