A French man was on an everyday stroll with his dog Muffin when they stumbled upon a 70-million-year-old dinosaur fossil that took two years to dig up.
Damien Boschetto and Muffin were walking in the forests of Montouliers in the South of France near his home when the paleontology enthusiast discovered bones sticking out of the cliffside in 2022, according to CBS News. The bones belonged to a nearly-complete skeleton of a long-necked titanosaur, he told ABC News.
“It happened one morning like any other, during an ordinary walk,” he told the outlet. “The territory around Cruzy is rich in fossils of dinosaurs and other species living at the same time.”

That dinosaur was walking to Washington, he was probably in the Congress or perhaps the President.

Stop it!!! 😆😆😆
Due to the near-global distribution of titanosaurs during the Cretaceous, titanosaur fossils have been found on every continent, including Antarctica. However, titanosaurs have the least complete fossil record of any major sauropodomorph group. No complete titanosaur skeletons are known, and many species are only known from a few bones. Titanosaur skulls are especially rare.
I had something similar happen to me. I was out walking my dinosaur and we found some dog bones.
How do they know it was a 70 million year old dinosaur fossil? Well, it was in a 70 million year old rock. Well, how do they know it was a 70 million year old rock? Well, because it had a 70 million year old dinosaur fossil in it. See how this goes?

Probably should have called the paleontologists first. /rimshot
Thanks SteveH.
A frenchman has a dog named Muffin?!!!
Say Muffin in french. It sounds so weird.
Was it the dinosaur’s leftovers?
Not to mention that many many dinosaur bones contain soft tissue....
....which should be “fossil” if truly millions of years old.
Do you think Noah’s Flood had anything to do with it?
