Trump: A Man of Action Gazes Pensively Out the White House Window
Observations on Trump's Twitter Photo ^

The mark of a great portrait is its power to reveal the soul of the man or woman being captured.
To me, the large banner photo of Trump (below) shown on Trump's current Twitter page is an artful portrait of the man. Here are some things it conveys to me:
- Amid the whirlwind of political fighting and legal overthrow of a corrupt government, Trump can also retreat into the calmness and repose of a man comfortable with who he is.
- Though he's comfortable in his Versailles-like apartment at Trump Tower, he notices that the White House, too, has some fine qualities.
- He may be alone in the White House, but he's content to know his hard work selecting the very best Cabinet ministers will ultimately set the Nation right.
- The peacefulness of the man in the photo contrasts with the dynamic person we know Trump to be. We see there's also an introspective side to the man. His Twitter page is a place where he not only communicates policy, but also sets the moral direction of America.
- The dark reddish glow in the room symbolizes the darkness in our government. The threats of ISIS, the killing of police officers, and the murders by illegal gangster are serious problems to be dealt with. Yet Trump's vision and guiding light is a way out of this darkness.
- Finally, the casualness of the portrait shows the transparency and honesty of the man. We notice he's a bit overweight; his tie hangs down too low; his wrinkled suit doesn't fit him too well. In short, the lack of polish in the photo suggests this is a truly candid shot of Trump walking around and getting used to his new office.
Now looking at a similar gazing-out-the-window photo of Obama, you notice the difference. The Obama photo appears to be a canned publicity shot.
The Washington Monument perfectly centered in the window also looks contrived. Obama's pose appears as phoney as the man himself. Rather than thinking how to help the working people of America, Obama day dreams about being out on the golf course.

Some observations about a candid photo of Trump standing alone in the White House.

Notice how the photographer carefully posed Jug Ears slightly to the left in the window so that the Washington Monument would be visible in the distance.
Yeah, that’s not a totally contrived picture.../sarc

Every time anyone questions Trump looking or acting Presidential, I am reminded of Obozo and his selfie stick. Our National/International embarrassment needs to stay quiet for a LONG time.

Ha ha. When did Hussein ever wear a jacket and tie in the oval office?!? I’m surprised he had his feet off the furniture for once!

I don’t know. I always liked wearing a long tie. A short tie exposes too much belly fat.

One tiny quibble: Don’t like the gold drapes in the WH...don’t think they make a good backdrop when POTUS or VPOTUS are speaking. Navy blue with gold trim would be good (not biased b/c I’m a Navy veteran, mind you).

Pres Trump is looking out the window wistfully.....wishing he was back in Trump Tower.....in the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Gold is his thing, every President has made his mark on the Oval Office. I don’t think it looks too bad, better than the maroon it replaced.
To: poconopundit
How revealing. Pres. Trump’s picture portrays a powerful man, in a powerful place. The figure of former president looks very small.
