I don’t think that Al Gore is any more genuinely concerned about the planet than he was about music or children. He is a fraud who went to divinity school.
in 2000 specific musicians and families targeted by the PMRCUAC hearings endorsed Al Gore for president (Dee Snyder, Frank Zappa’s family). It was all theater with no conviction from the “defense”.
And today music and performances are even more in the gutter than they were in 1985.
I think it is the former. She is aging out of the glory years for a pop star. The 13year olds of today are picking their own thing, not what their older siblings liked. She doesn’t have the voice or song writing creativity to hold enough of her fans as they mature and get adults on board to sustain her current level of popularity.
She should be grateful her dad could buy her the people who could launch her career and prep for the small venue circuit.

Sad that the Dixie Chicks went stupid and got political. I really liked their music. But, stopped listening and for sure stopped buying (DVD era). Taylor Swift’s fan base is a little different, younger, more crossover, etc, but is heading down the same path nevertheless.
Her name is Aasia Bibi and Taylor’s silence is horrifying to me.

FWIW, I think this was a really dumb idea on Swift’s part because the first thing it inspires someone to do is look at Swift’s sales figs. So if you weren’t already aware they were going in the wrong direction, you are now. These people never think this **** through.
