What poppy cock. The USA can organize for war like no other people on earth.

You must have missed the biggest, most destructive, violent and deadliest riots in modern U.S. history. LA '92. Total chaos, totally out of control. Now imagine 25 major cities and everything in between doing the same. Could it happen? I dunno.

The next civil war won’t be between states.

Despite the strident proclamations of others, I agree with you. The first "Civil War" was truly a war between the states. The states raised the army units (though agreeing to joint command) and the men felt they were first and foremost representing their states.

This is no longer the case. If we have another war, it will be a true 'civil' war, where civilians (with arms) fight it, and the opposing forces will be inner-city versus rural, with the battles fought in the suburbs. There is no way that Austin (here in Texas) would fight against the collectivists, no matter what some majority in the state might say. They are as collectivist as Lenin, and if the people aren't smart enough to vote the "right" way, then they'll just have to be spanked until the do.

I also don't believe it will be well organized. It will be riots and counter-riots more like an organized crime "war" than a duel of armies. Local "commanders" (see Somali warlords) will claim authority. It will probably result in a breakdown of all order and the US will balkanize into a dozen different 'nations' with either migration or execution to enforce the segregation of political philosophies. The only semi-hopeful way it might work out is that the breakdown of the economy results in so many inner-city deaths that the survivors give up. Even then, the warlords aren't going to surrender their own power easily. So if the inner-city does surrender, their will probably be another round of fights between semi-organized warlord 'armies.'

The organized US military is a hammer that would have a hard time against 200 million scurrying ants. If they come in on the side of individual liberty, they'd have to bomb/invade/destroy the cities, and I don't see them doing that. It would all depend on whether they take their oaths to the Constitution over their oaths to obey the orders of those in authority over them. And there are a lot of collectivists among the generals/admirals promoted by Obama.

So, it's not something to celebrate. But the alternative, turning into a socialist tyranny, is even worse.

I believe there will be similar civil wars fought across the planet at the same time.

And foreign entities involved to try to gain influence.

The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
(Performed by the Canadians who wrote it)

When Joan Baez was asked why she didn't sing this song the way it was written, she replied, "I sang it the way I heard it."

Other than the shit hole cities, California is a great state filled with great Americans. Should California secede there would be a terrible California civil war, shit hole cities versus American California.

I still think the Democrats are willing to risk starting a civil war because, like Hillary, they think the American people are really behind them and will step up and sweep them to a victory in that war.

“Canada Free Press” is passionately Conservative and passionately pro-USA.

I read several of their articles each week at Free Republic.

The quality of writing and research at CFP is equal to or better than many of the USA websites that appear at Free Republic.

Liberalism has never meant any of things. I used to be a liberal. Liberalism is totalitarianism. Up until recently it couldn’t call itself that. It can now. It’s called “Democratic Socialism’’.

No. Never. This is The Untied States of America. Not some Balkanized collection crap holes. And this isn’t 1861. It’s 2020. The modern ear, The Nuclear Era. Because Jefferson spoke of secession as being a right doesn’t mean it IS right. The guy wasn’t perfect. Despite the years between 1861 and 1865 this is still the greatest nation on Earth and scheming tin pots dictators in the wings and well meaning, romantic fools with their notions of tribal like cabals of states and satraps are dangerous, moral idiots who , for the most part, haven’t a clue as to what they’re really talking about or envisaging.

"... must you make the same mistake everyone makes on this subject? You skipped over the most important part: SECESSION of state(s). IT DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN WAR.

If we split peacefully think how happy both countries would be...

THEY (PUS - Progressive United States) could have open borders (every third world hellhole could empty into them), free medicare for all, $30 an hour minimum wages, rent controls, gun confiscations, reparations for ALL people of color, AND they would have the money to do it because white liberal 'elites' have most of the money in the country. They can steal from their own to pay for all their 'sky's the limit programs'...

No fossil fuels in PUS, no borders, no jails, prisons or police... Icing on the cake for PUS? They could disarm all citizens, allow abortions up to the day of birth - and two weeks past that point if the child is ugly... WE WOULD NOT BE THERE TO STOP THEM... THEY COULD DO WHATEVER THEY WANT.

And our side? CUS (Conservative United States)... We could keep the Constitution we have now and all the rights it grants to free citizens AND we would be rid of all the folks who hate us, who try to indoctrinate our children, who bring illegals in to keep wagers low, and who hate our God and our right to defend ourselves.

It's a win for both sides. They get what they want - and are rid of us. AND we get what we want and are rid of them...

A divorce is the answer...

I remember talking to my granddaddy about the war. He had known many veterans when he was young. I posed the question to him “What if we had left Fort Sumter alone?” He was really stumped. He was a retired Army general so he certainly knew the military. We ended up writing down several scenarios. I wish I had kept them. He thought finally that there was a decent possibility that cooler heads might have prevailed had the South just waited it out.

Most of the Armed forces will not side with the USA if there is a split. Count on that.
