This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“I’ve been quiet lately; buried in an avalanche of things. It’s that time of year again- the Russian spring draft. 145,000 is a slight increase over recent draft cycle goals. Big picture, their manning numbers don’t make a lot of sense right now, and it tells me a few things:
Their stated goals to reach an expanded force of 1.5 million remain aspirational and probably unlikely, without multiple rounds of mobilization or an extension of the conscription period from 12 months to 24 months again (as it was until mid-2000s).
If they elongated service time to two years, assuming two drafts each year at a capacity of 130-150k, that could net the military somewhere around 300,000 additional conscript billets on the books in a few years, but it comes with drawbacks…
…Extending service time used to come with domestic drawbacks. One of the reasons the military reduced service from 24 to 12 months was to reduce draft evasion, coupled with other qualitative changes to service conditions (and due to force restructuring at the time).
Russia could also keep running mobilization at replenishment rates or intake more with another large pull to count that towards the goal. Shoygu is on record saying he has “25 million” in reserve which tells me a lot about mindset there (but that’s another topic)
The 400,000 goal for more professional enlisted underway right now is probably not going to yield good numbers— it has never worked like that in Russia— unless there is more coercion to enlist than there is at present.
Then, subtracting the casualty figures (which are all over the map), the resignations, captures, and desertions, for which data is anecdotal at best, and the overall manning picture looks worse. I don’t have a lot of confidence right now in their numbers. but-
To reach aspirational plans of 1.5 million, serious changes would be needed like changing conscription and more waves of mobilization. Given the state of equipment losses, such a plus up of manpower would be suitable for occupation in the medium term, not major operations.
Long term, why do they need an expansion? With the return to divisions (also aspirational) they need staffing. That’s a larger conversation on Russian force regeneration. Keeping in mind they face some capacity challenges, the intent is there.
Or, Shoygu and Gerasimov get the boot after this faltering offensive part 2, and a new team comes up with a new plan. /end”

Today a lot of news is coming from the east.
Here, the rapidly deteriorating weather precipitated a shifting of focus on urban fighting.
The increased intensity of clashes inside the city allowed Russians to secure more gains and start establishing control over tactically significant positions, such as factories and high-rise buildings. However, in order to not allow Russians to rip the benefits of these strongpoints, Ukrainians started using various methods of wiping them out together with the Russians.
Last time I told you that Ukrainians and Russians in Bakhmut faced the biggest snowfall of the decade that completely covered the ground and trenches and made infantry fights impossible. However, urban fights are much less affected by such weather conditions, although during the snowfall, the intensity of attacks did slow down because both parties could not use drones and artillery.
The freshest reports suggest that once the sky became clear, the clashes inside the city rapidly resumed. In the southern part of the region, the Ukrainian 93rd Mechanized Brigade showed how they continued to destroy enemy forces concentrations.
Since everything is covered in snow, spotting manpower in the streets with thermal cameras became much easier, which works more against Russians as they have to get out of cover and assault Ukrainian positions. After the whole squad entered the house, Ukrainians started shelling it with artillery.
Since Russians started applying a lot of pressure from the west in an attempt to reach the stadium, Ukrainians started narrowing down the cauldron. But before withdrawing, Ukrainians also make sure to leave some surprises. It seems like instead of using standard booby traps, Ukrainians are waiting until Russians enter the house and then manually blow up the whole building.
Recent combat footage shows how Ukrainians are operating on the outskirts. They pulled a cord from the house across the street during the withdrawal and then manually detonated the explosives from a distance.
But the 93rd Mechanized Brigade left the biggest surprise for Russians on Mariupolska street. Here, Russians have been fighting for weeks to establish control over the tallest building in the region. When Ukrainians realized that they needed to step back to the other side of the street, they mined the whole building. A recently released 4-day-old footage reveals that the moment Russians assumed this tactically significant position, Ukrainians completely destroyed it.
When it comes to the central part of the region, Russians continue to have the initiative. Today it was reported that they managed to secure the second half of the block near the embankment. With a shrinking control over the riverbank, it becomes harder and harder to hold the rest of the positions along the river, which is why it is expected that in the next few days, Ukrainians will step back towards the main street.
Russians are trying to suppress Ukrainians fire and penetrate the defenses deeper. With the dropping temperatures, doing it became easier because of the more visible contrast on thermal cameras.
However, due to the density of high-rise buildings, gaining control over each street takes a lot of manpower. Yesterday a Russian war corresponded said that there is so much death here that Russian forces operating in Bakhmut have become apathetic to the deaths of their comrades. He said that very often, soldiers use the lying on the ground corpses as markers when giving each other directions.
In the northern part, Ukrainians seem to have gained even more ground. As you remember, several weeks ago, Russians penetrated Ukrainian defenses here and gained control over two streets. Two days ago, I told you that Ukrainians recaptured one street because the fights reportedly took place near the stadium, and today Ukrainians blew up a bridge right behind them.
Some sources say that Russians were not pushed out, and Ukrainians cut them off from the south, while other sources say that such an operation would be too risky to conduct without gaining total control over the last street.
Today Ukrainians also released footage of a precision strike on the occupied territory of the AZOM industrial complex. The strike was conducted with a Soviet tactical ballistic missile Tochka-U. It seems like this was not the only strike because, in the video, one operator said to prepare for the second one.
Overall, despite the fact that the weather temporarily made infantry fights impossible in the fields, Ukrainians and Russians still engaged in heavy fights inside the city.
As Russians started moving into the areas with big buildings that, unlike the small houses on the outskirts, could be used as powerful firing points, storage for ammunition, and in some cases even equipment, Ukrainians started resorting to more drastic measures, such as blowing up the building, bridges and even hitting Russians with the scarce ballistic missiles. Such measures are very effective and do not allow Russians to secure powerful positions to minimize their losses.

A woman brought the package into the restaurant and a security guard told her to leave it by the door, but she went to Tatarski and told him she bought a present just for him, so he told her to bring in it in.

Tatarski held an open meeting in the St Petersburg bar and restaurant - anyone could come, little security, so it was sort of an open invitation for those that did not like him or his ideology. Was a very crowded venue.

Another Russian mil-blogger says they cannot take Marinka; not so long ago, they wasted 1,480 shells and lots of drones on one farm they had lost earlier. They finally took the farm with the infantry assaults and lots of losses.
However, they had to retreat as they couldn’t scope with the Ukrainian artillery because they are out of counterbattery radar systems. Complains their artillery is not precise compared to the UA.
(Also) "heavy injured during the explosion in a St. Petersburg cafe during which Vladlen Tatarsky was killed - Tatyana Lyubina and her friend Sergei Chaulin, coordinator of the “Immortal Regiment” movement in Tallinn, (who) was deported from Estonia in February of this year. The so-called "chief specialist of the patriotic education sector" Andrey Pogodin was also wounded.
