I have no doubt there’s a database with those who took the stab band those who didn’t.
I know some good Christians. But most make want to take a shower after being with them.
To ealgeone's point - the alliance of Iran, Russia, and Turkey has never before happened in recorded history, yet there it is in Ezekiel 38 and 39 where all three nations get obliterated along with their cohorts.
I think you should consider that.
There absolutely is a database with those who took the stab and those who refused and will continue to do so.
Those of us who don’t will force their hand and make them send us to camps.
“Doctors”, “scientists”, and anybody in the pharmaceutical industry are the brown shirts who will get the ball rolling.
Abortion has been a “medical procedure” for some time.
Shooting people in the head who refuse to “protect others” will be considered one soon too.
He did, but a lot of people who play “church” these days hate the Real Jesus.
There’s nothing kumbaya about His message or warnings.
Correct. Anything affecting Israel is a canary in the coal mine. God will deal with his people exactly as prophesied. Gentiles are along for the ride but we have a life line of Jesus Christ, as do Jews.
Well.....DUH.!
“Except Israel does have defined borders in the Bible.”
I suppose you could try that argument, except that the current “nation of Israel” doesn’t match those borders. So if you use that standard, the nation mentioned in the Bible still doesn’t exist in the current day.
So I’d say that’s probably not the best standard.
Excuse me, Mom, but no.
I am universalist at this point. Until 2020 I went to the most Petacostliest whacko churches my psycho ex (I don’t think that’s you, but...) could drag our family to. “Left Behind”? Both the disgusting books and movies were in our home. Satan getting talked about more than Jesus? Yep...
I heard the conversations, some of them from dudes I was eating breakfast with. I presume nothing. I pass along what I have heard and SEEN. Some of which can be seen right here on this site — people begging for or commenting on the deaths of ________ with the sentiment “Burn motherf-———er!!! YOU GOT IT COMING!!!!”
What I am thinking is that the surprise of most will have the split second after this tether is cut is beyond our imagining glorious and that is for ALL OF US... with a few millenia of absorbing how awful of a job we all did... and how much God loves us anyway.
Or even those we know and don't like at all!
Matthew 24:36-51
New King James Version
No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of [a]heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
No it doesn’t perfectly match the boundaries but it is still there. And it is the only nation with defined borders in the Bible IIRC.
“And it is the only nation with defined borders in the Bible IIRC.”
Again, you are using the modern concept and definition of “nation”. There are no borders defined for a “nation of Israel” in the Bible. Borders are defined for a specific LAND in the Bible, and that land is then gifted to Abraham and his descendents, who only later go on to form a nation (in the sense of a group of people). So there’s a connection between the land and the nation, but they are not the same thing.
You’re attempting to argue a moot point.
What is the point you refer to and how is it moot?
Please remind us all here of what t h at sign is.
Thank you.
Well, there is a word used that is often translated into “nation” in English. But as I’ve said, since the modern concept of “nation” didn’t exist at that time, as nation-states had not been developed at that point in human history, I think it would be a silly error to make to interpret that as meaning the same as what you or I understand “nation” to mean in modern parlance.
If we read the word that way, then the “nation” of Canaan would not have changed in the Bible when the Israelites came into possession of it. It’s the same land, the same borders, and yet now it’s no longer the nation of Canaan. The only thing that changed was the people, because the people who are possessing that land are the nation, not the territory, or the borders, or the ruling government.
It is the sign that directly proceeds Jesus’ description of the tribulation in Matthew 24:
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
There are many preceding signs, but this is the final one Jesus speaks of before declaring that the tribulation begins, and there is special emphasis placed on us needing to be wise enough to recognize this sign, above all the others. And it’s the only sign that he tells us we need to immediately respond to in a drastic way.
