This is the face of the first early European human which has been painstakingly constructed by scientists from bone fragments.
The man or woman - it is still not possible to determine the sex - lived 35,000 years ago in the Carpathian Mountains that today are part of Romania.
Their face was rebuilt in clay based on an incomplete skull and jawbone discovered in a cave where bears hibernated.
Forensic artist Richard Neave made the model based on his measurements of the pieces of bone and his knowledge of how facial tissues sit on the skull.

Anthropologist Alice Roberts...'It's really quite bizarre. I'm a scientist and objective but I look at that face and think "Gosh, I'm actually looking at the face of somebody from 40,000 years ago" and there's something weirdly moving about that...' she added.
'He said the skull doesn't actually look European, or Asian, or African. It looks like a mixture of all of them. And you think, well that's probably what you'd expect of someone who was among the earliest populations to come to Europe.'

Maybe it’s me, but that second photo reminds me of a certain first lady. Just needs some hair.
OMG!!!!! LOL
Amazing how these “early man” reconstructions have dark skin while living in cold Europe.
Yep. Confirms that Michell0 is a throwback to the cave people. Absolutely the same jawbone, one step up from the ox.
Looks like Juan Williams?
Yep, it’s her alright!
But, without the charm & smile shown here.
Guess what - most people in the Balkans and SE Europe are olive to dark skinned!
That is truly scary!
That sculptor has a phenomenal imagination! Being able to create a likeness of Michael with a smile on her face - amazing!
I imagine the FIRST human population of Europe DID have dark skin for at least the first thousand years or so, until the need for vitamin D synthesis created selective pressure for disabling genes for putting lots of melanin in the skin.
They wouldn’t have COME to Europe out of Africa with light skin. Light skin would be an evolutionary adaptation to living where there is less intense sunlight.

So Michelle is European?
She has that politicans grin, even when her lips are pulled back to show her teeth, her eyes are not smiling. She is like a snarling dog, just looking for the person to bare their jugular so that she can lunge for it. Notice that her eyes never smile. In a confrontation, nevermind what their mouth is doing, always watch their eyes.
Similarly, when you see drawings of Cro-Magnon (modern) man in the same region as Neanderthals, the Neanderthals usually have darker skin than the white Cro-Magnon. That is backwards from how it should be if the Neanderthals had been living in the north for a while while the Cro-Magnons were moving in from the south.
