They also voted to allow gay clergy. Clergy who in active gay relationships. Also on the agenda is to not require clergy to observe chastity and change the definition of marriage. marriage will be defined as two people and not a man and a woman.

PCUSA is not to be confused with PCA (Presbyterian Church of America). PCA is not into all this liberal garbage.

Why are these Presbyterian leaders so adamantly against Israel settling their own historical territory? Why the emotional investment?

I go to a Presbyterian church, and this decision in no way reflects my personal views.

As the first post, This is PC-USA, PCA or Orthodoxy Presbyterians. This is from the line in the 30s that decided a seminarian could preach who did not believe in the resurection. In the 70s, PC-USA funded socialist revelutionarys in Central America. When they starting funding abortions directly, that is when my denomination was formed and why the PCA has a Pro-Life plank.

Another plank men as Elders and Deacons, the women love it because the roles are well defined and the Women in the Church movement amoung us is thriving because of it.

Replacement theology is the natural extension of Hyper-Calvinism.

Calvin’s Clear Opinion from his writings in “A Response To Questions and Objections of a Certain Jew” - An Excerpt from “Ad Quaelstiones et Objecta Juaei Cuiusdam Responsio,” by John Calvin; The Jew in Christian Theology, Gerhard Falk, McFarland and Company, Inc., Jefferson, NC and London, 1931.

Their [the Jews] rotten and unbending stiffneckedness deserves that they be oppressed unendingly and without measure or end and that they die in their misery without the pity of anyone.

END QUOTE

If there is a denomination more Calvinistic than Presbyterians, I don’t know of one. PCA vs PCUSA hold this in common, what’s different is their politics.

My best friend is a Presbyterian and he says this happens every two years. The liberals who are the delegates pass the homo bill, and when it goes back to the local churches, it gets defeated.

That being said, they look like they are trying to dive into the same septic tank that the ELCA occupies.

"My best friend is a Presbyterian and he says this happens every two years. The liberals who are the delegates pass the homo bill, and when it goes back to the local churches, it gets defeated." They should get a flogging. Let the Jew hating begin. 78% of American (liberal) Jews and various other idiots like union Catholics, African Americans, Libs, atheists, some wealthy Presbyterians like the idiot Buffett clans (Jimmy and Warren), a few wealthy Episcopalins, Muslims, etc voted for this. Elections have consequences. The idiots opened Pandora's box with the Islamo-Marxist.

Note - I put the arrow brackets and sarc after the “Let the Jew hating begin.” For sarcasm. FR works with these brackeets () but the arrow ones next to the letter M do not show up. It was sarcasm. I know plenty of conservative Jews with loathe you know who. Many are gun onwers too.

There are two "umbrella groups" for the Presbytarian churches in the US, and I have trouble remembering which is which. One is more conservative, and the other one (the one this article references) is incredibly liberal.

I used to do volunteer work for what I later learned was the liberal group, and I stopped doing that work (on their computers).
