Earth’s magnetic poles are set to swap places - and we're totally unprepared [Isaiah 24]

Earth’s magnetic field surrounds our planet like an invisible force field - protecting life from harmful solar radiation by deflecting charged particles away. Far from being constant, this field is continuously changing. Indeed, our planet's history includes at least several hundred global magnetic reversals, where north and south magnetic poles swap places. So when’s the next one happening and how will it affect life on Earth?

During a reversal the magnetic field won’t be zero, but will assume a weaker and more complex form. It may fall to 10 percent of the present-day strength and have magnetic poles at the equator or even the simultaneous existence of multiple 'north' and 'south' magnetic poles.

Geomagnetic reversals occur a few times every million years on average. However, the interval between reversals is very irregular and can range up to tens of millions of years. There can also be temporary and incomplete reversals, known as events and excursions, in which the magnetic poles move away from the geographic poles - perhaps even crossing the equator - before returning back to their original locations.

The last full reversal, the Brunhes-Matuyama, occurred around 780,000 years ago. A temporary reversal, the Laschamp event, occurred around 41,000 years ago. It lasted less than 1,000 years with the actual change of polarity lasting around 250 years...

We all have to face eternity one way or another and the only way is to face eternity is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I very much agree.

But as far as threats to our life on earth, what is of most concern?
Heart disease, cancer, accidents, strokes, infections? A pole shift? Rising sea level from global warming?

I doubt anyone here is going to die as result of a pole shift. But if we did, what could we do to reduce the effects of a pole shift anyways. A pole shift tax?

You realize “Repent” means to change one’s mind in the original text and to “sin no more” is foolishly impossible, strive as we may.

Why did Jesus tell people to “go and sin no more” if sinlessness is impossible?

Here’s how I heard it:

“Why are there so many more sperms than eggs?”

“Because males won’t ask for directions.”

If the earth starts spinning backwards, will we start getting younger? Will the North Star be over the South Pole? Is this why polar ice is melting?

Steal away. Gravity is not friendly. Would love for all the wrinkles and sags to go back where they came from so I can only say “swap away”.

I have no idea why about 98% of FReepers ignore the real signs that folks like you, SaveFerris, SkyPilot, Lera and a handful of others point toward the real imminent return of Jesus Christ.

SMH reading this thread.

Ya got me there.
He also said to love our enemies. That would mean that the plethora of Muslim haters would have to LOVE those same Muslims. I THINK that would be an impossibility for them.

Jesus DID speak in hyperbole. But, that was the style.

I am Catholic and I do go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is MOST moving to confess one's sins to another person...not just the non-Catholic way of saying "Sorry, Lord" and know that one is forgiven, even if one commits the same sin 50 times a day.
Also there is no Penance for non-Catholics. Catholics have to say penances...prayers, commensurate to the sins. Telling one's sins and saying penance prayers IS quite different that just the "Sorry Lord" ten times a day. There are NO penance prayers for those sins. It's a WHOLE lot easier to be a non-Catholic.

No fasting, no abstinence, no required twice/year Confession or Holy Communion, no mandatory Sunday/holy day Masses...nothing. Any sin? Just say "Sorry" and it's done and done. EASY PEASY.

Will global cooling bring devastating earthquakes to America’s lands? Today on TRUNEWS, Rick Wiles discusses this looming threat with John Casey, a former senior field engineer for NASA and the current CEO of the International Earthquake and Volcano Prediction Center. Mr. Casey expands on his eerie prediction, that a looming mini Ice Age could bring an exponential increase in earthquakes and volcanic activity, and also details how this looming global crisis could cause upwards of $600 billion in damages, and kill tens of thousands inside the United States over the next twenty years.

What better love than spreading the Word of Truth and Salvation to those enemies and Muslim hordes?

I’m former RC FWIW.

Christ talks about being born again - I’m sure you know it. Salvation is easy peasy - if we stick to what John, Peter, & Paul wrote about it - or Jesus Himself.

Romans 10:9-10 is wonderful.
John 6:29 is the answer where Jesus had every opportunity to be a legalist some sects make Him to be, and yet His answer is most simple.
I love Acts 16:31 and it’s a repeat of John 6:29 to the Roman jailer.
Then Ephesians 2:8 shows God’s true meaning of Grace.
Heck the whole book of Ephesians should give Christians a superiority complex regarding blessed assurance.

What Jesus simplified, men (all of us) love to confuse and confound it with “rules” or “obligations”.

Counter the legalists with 1 John 1:8-9. Or better yet, read the whole book of 1 John and soak in all of that wonderful confidence that we should have in Christ’s Finished work.

PS: God Bless You!

OTOH, Good old Harold Camping helped make a mess of things a few years ago. As we knew it was gonna fail....

More proof that climate change is occurring. But it's G-D made climate change. And Algore, Leo DiCrapio, etc cannot do a damn thing about it.

Do you know why the Jews wondered for so long in the desert? Moses refused to stop and ask for directions.
Jackie Mason once quipped, ever know a Jew who knew how to work on an engine? That's why Moses parted the Red Sea, not one of the Hebrews could figure out how to start up a motorboat.

"Don’t you think it is interesting that the Bible foretells that the earth will flip upside down?"

I had to google that one. Isa 24:1. KJV too. That is interesting.
