The movie was pure leftist feminist propaganda. Kill off the attractive Asian and make her short fat sister the star, Handsome pilot overly aggressive, the women teach him to run away rather than fight. Put an ugly beak on a woman because attractive women need not apply.
Valid question. However, he was more into the space scenes and the animal characters. He's seen many of the other Star Wars movies.
The most blood and gore he ever saw was when I sliced my thumb a year ago. I was trying to open one of his presents, a lego set that required the use of a knife to open. I used it incorrectly and sliced open about a half inch over the main knuckle. Took over an hour to stop the bleeding...he saw what happens when you don't use a knife properly.
He'll still check my thumb every now and then to make sure it's healed up. He helped me change bandages, because it was just the two of us. My wife was out shopping, and didn't understand the severity of the wound. I wasn't going to call 911, never got it stitched up either.
Actually its faster than the speed of light, its hyperdrive.
I think there was a technical argument that a real time collision wasn’t possible, like from the Lost in Space movie, you actually pass through without hitting it in real space.
But then again it was in close proximity and the Supremacy is something like 50 miles wide.
Of course the nerds will argue this forever.
Carrie Fisher is only two weeks older than me and yes she looked like she was 80 but her real life antics did that, Mark Hamil was born in 1951 so he was older yet looked more fit.
They made Han and Luke a mess in their later lives, and Leia the leader even though poor C Fisher could barely talk and move at this point. The pilot Po had to learn to control his “toxic masculinity”. As mentioned the plot was forced, the casino diversion like a bad ST Next Generation episode.
Excellent sentence. This is a bold movie--and a better one for it. It's also a smart, thoughtful story and some people are just too stupid to understand it.
After it can't make any money at the theaters it will be direct to video till it has been squeezed like a Turnip. Then it will mercifully die.
LOL. Maybe he’s the big bad.
It really is. There's a moment of silence in this movie that is so perfectly timed ... I won't give it away, but wow. That was all Rian Johnson.
"Every word in that sentence is wrong." ;)
The little penguin looking bird with the big sad eyes in the scenes with the Wookie stole the show for sure.
Yeah that’s it I’m too stupid. The movie was an over long illogical preachy feminist mess. I’ll agree it had an acceptable core story that could have been done in 90 minutes. There was at least an hour of implausible nonsense.
The 1st 15 minutes are all action.
I er downloaded a cam version. I have not watched all of it yet.
TNT is running the original Star Wars which I am watching now. Leia in the new movie looks rough and sounds rough. You would not recognize her from the first film.
This time the Death Star will work...
They lost me in the one where the diminutive fashion model was able to best jedi masters who trained for years just by picking up a light saber.
LOL. Meesa Delicious!
I was critical of Fischer in the last Star Wars debacle. She looked horrible, hardly the look of a general or leader, and her acting was bad as well. Then she dies shortly after in real life. They have to keep her in the next movie at least to transition the character, but now Hammil’s character is killed off and while he is still alive, somehow they have to bring back Fischer from the grave again.
Not the Hamill looked like had any interest in reviving the Luke Skywalker role. He seemed to show his true feelings through his character...that is “screw the galaxy. Leave me alone.”
Oh, since I am kind of harping on the movies dissappointments, I should mention that when only the bad guys have men for officers, and the rebels are all led by a bunch of girls (seriously are all rebel generals women? Help us general solo) it no wonder the rebels have been wiped out.
There were some scenes I enjoyed, but overall I was disappointed. But that’s ok. I watched episodes 4 and 5 on DVD again and now the latest Disney disaster is fading away.
So what does this mean?
The should have not killed off Han Solo in the prior release. It just “aint right.”
