A First Dates hopeful was left speechless when his dinner guest revealed she was six months pregnant over dinner.
The Channel 4 show, which brings people from all over the UK together in hope they will find love, matched ex-army engineer Steve, 38, with army medic Lyn, 36.
Halfway through their meal Lyn dropped the bombshell that she was expecting a child with an anonymous sperm donor after deciding she no longer wanted to wait for the right man.
Steve was momentarily caught off guard but quickly regained composure, praising Lyn for making the tough decision to have a child on her own. He later added he would 'embrace' the opportunity to have a child in his life.

While this may be a story about fertility, or online dating, or women’s predicament on finding a guy or their biological clock. The truth is, that none of these are true. This is a story about a crazy, lying women. He is not a good guy if he stays. He is a stupid guy. This women is a nut job. And she is a dishonest nut job. No matter how he thinks this may turn out for the best, he is wrong. You cannot stay with a nut job. And you cannot stay with a conniving liar. So, he should pay the bill. It can’t be that much because she is not drinking. He should wish her luck, and move on without a forwarding address.
And to all the readers out there, I think we should wonder if this is not fake news. I mean why do we know about this date. One of those two is a publicity hound. So this may be nothing but a PR stunt.
Its pretty hard to hide the fact you are six months preggers....unless you are overweight already...
