This just reminded me of the original SNL '75 cast.
No Trump bashing, just pure comedic relief.
What Chevy Chase did on Ford was funny, I miss those shows.
I used to laugh until I cried.
“Comedy” is no longer funny, it consists of bad language, Potty jokes and hatred.
did you even watch the skit?
Did you forget the Ford bashing that Chevy Chase loved to do? Or the Nixon bashing by Dan Aykroyd?
Then of course we had the third gen cast give us non-stop Reagan bashing.
But in spite of all that, I also pine for the original cast, followed by the Eddie Murphy years.
Shut up and watch the skit at the link.
Two examples:
Pining for SNL, means a-policital skits that just make you laugh.
There was a time.
The key hear is to watch the video at the link and THEN comment.
I always preferred SCTV myself.
ShamWow guy in prison. I watched it before I commented. College Humor is hit or miss.
Close Encounter good

Same here. SCTV was consistently funnier in my book - https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/pj-gladnick/2018/05/28/sctv-reunion-show-would-now-face-pc-problems
I watched your video.
Watch mine. A-political SNL. "When comedy is just comedy." (and funny too).
Close encounter was one of the funniest skits EVER. Laugh out loud funny.
That old crew had their fun with Ford, but at least it was mostly respectful. And funny. The new SNL is neither.
Take off, you hoser.
SCTV for the most part would kick SNLs butt on any given day. Stan and Yosh Schmenge concur. So do The Five Neat Guys.
Now many here constantly obsess about the original cast and how it went downhill ever since. I don't agree with that. The cast of the early 1990s was probably the peak of the show. Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Dennis Miller, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Victoria Jackson, Chris Farley, etc. Those were great years and at least half of the cast I just mentioned were conservatives!
The original cast was way overrated in my opinion. I liked them too but I felt that Lorraine Newman and Garrett Morris had little to offer. I did have a crush on Jane Curtin. As a teenage boy, she was the woman I wanted to marry. And I did end up marrying a Jane Curtin type of woman. Just don't tell her I said that!
It was a great show for maybe 30 years. But over the past 5 years, it has become completely unwatchable. Especially with the Trump hate.
Blowed up real good.
Never thought it was funny.
