I think the current Queen would rather be on life support for the next 40 years than rather hand the throne over to Charles.
I do not recognize "royalty", I could not care one way or the other what "color" one's blood is, as long as it's red...and every one of the so-called royals are inbred, near-idiot, long-nosed turds, engaged in the ages-old practice of ripping off the British people.
They have no viable place in any society, much less one that calls itself free.
Next question.
If a royal feels that call of divine mandate, then the throne is well filled. However many have been supercillious prigs.
The present Queen has had her negative moments, but she has served Britain well. I rather quail at some of the lefties she has knighted though. Winston Churchill loved her.

Inbreeding killed the Hapsburg line in Spain. Their last king basically had the mind of a 5 year old.
King Chales III will kill off the monarchy in 5 years by being a total twit. Queen Camilla will be insufferable and help drive the monarchy off the cliff
Instead of crowning heads, they should be chopping them off.
Kings and Queens are silly. As the British bend the knee to an archaic and idiotic institution, their government is enslaving them and the Muslims are biding their time to raise the Islamic flag over Buckingham Palace AND Downing Street.

They did that to Charles I and sound up with a military dictatorship under Oliver Cromwell and the Major Generals...
Apparently I missed the sarcasm tag...but I do know that a hell of a lot of men (and women, for that matter), died in a little skirmish we like to call the Revolutionary War of Independence...a few years back...for the express purpose of doing away with all that "king" crap.
I still hold those values.
Royalty, in any form, from the faux-crowning of the assobama to the in-bred idiots in Great Britain, can kiss my ass, to put it bluntly.
And if they all died, I still wouldn't be king, nor would I give a...damn.

Strange, Queen Elizabeth holds the crown because her uncle Edward abdicated the throne, in order to marry a divorcee. Her father, King George VI, was second in line when Edward abdicated.
Queen Elizabeth’s son, Charles, has married a divorcee. Her grandson, Harry, has married a divorcee. William, Charles’ son, is the only once who meets the original requirements to serve as king, yet she has stated in April of this year, that Charles will be king. This despite a report in 2016 that William would be her successor.
Again, my how things have changed. Poor Edward.

My post was more than a coronation joke, though. When someone tells me what I should find interesting or not, I tend to rebel more than I comply. Call this habit my "revolution." ;)
The Royal Family on England has become nothing more than Tourism, add in all the cheap melodrama of the last 38 years and it is just an ongoing Soap Opera for a of Americans and those who still want to suck up to Royalty for whatever reasons.
Elizabeth is the last of her kind and there will not be any more that can or will ever measure up. If and when Charles takes over it will be one idiot story after another about his trash wife Camilla.
Poor William, when he or or if he ever takes over, it will be a damned mess and sister in law Meghan Markle will just make it worse.
The last good king maybe was George V, I am not sure. My personal favorite from the 20th century is Edward VII.
