Trump successfully trounces Philadelphia "Hate America" Eagles after their cutie stunt fails badly.

Posted on 06/05/2018 1:06:32 PM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Not a good day for the Philadelphia Eagles, The worthless, Philadelphia Mayor, A USA Senator, Bob Casey and left wing hate America, hate the flag, the national anthem, the USA military and, most of all the NFL (National Football League)

The Eagle low life dreg brigade tried to pull a fast one on POTUS, Trump and Trump ate their lunch. Got news for the low life...the vast majority of the American people have no use for the Philadelphia Eagles...period. And I hope the good people and voters of the great state of Pennsylvania have enough common sense and smarts to defeat Democrat, useless, Bob Casey in his run for the USA Senate. Go Republican, Conservative, Lou Barletta...MAGA!!!

Just remember Americans ...all, our LEOs are being slaughtered by Obamabots & Nutcases...while in Chicago, IL, Blacks are murdering their own kind..men, women, children and babies born and unborn, with illegal guns galore. As far as I am concerned the Philadelphia Eagles can pound salt from now until dooms day. Screw them!!!

And THAT is why Trump cancelled the invite.

So why did he talk about the anthem when he made the announcement?

”They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military ...”

While I did watch the Eagles during “Buddy Ball” with Randall Cunningham as QB, I haven’t followed sports for a couple of decades since my Eagle fan Marine son was born. My brother, former AF and Nat’l Guardsman, and other bro, Navy submariner, are both Eagles fans.

They are all very conservative.

The 5 or so who were going to go to the WH were probably the Christians who made the local news.

Having winning sports figures believe they should be invited to the White House is a fairly recent phenomenon. It is not required by the Constitution, and probably should cease.

And... not having them there saves money. Winning!

The LORD Will continue to use Went, Files and Pederson mightily...you're right about that - Wentz has been around the area giving inspirational gospel-based talks of late - niece, a life-long Catholic, attended one and was very impressed with what he had to say......

Not showing up to be honored at the WH is a lot like sitting in the locker room for the anthem.

However, it’s not as bad, because although it’s disrespectful, it’s on their own time. When they do it while on the job (as NFL jocks), that makes it worse, IMHO.

Sounds like they were going to set up Trump, with him pulling out all the stops for them, then they were going to pull the rug out from under him, and not show up.

I imagine the Secret Service is all over the arrangements for any incoming delegation. The owners or any officials who accompany the team probably would have their rears in a sling if any mess happens.

I seem to remember in the 60’s and 70’s the winning coach might get a phone call from the White House but that was it.
With Senators and House members regularly visiting the WH there are already enough overpaid prima donnas there.
No need to import more from the “sports” world.

I remember President Nixon in the Texas locker room after they beat Arkansas for the National Title.

i worked the weekend - so mostly had the day off today.

Trying to relax i was watching the sports channels. I was flabbergasted at espn, foxsport, cbssports channel etc. They were completely anti-trump. I was going to turn it off but i had to see how deranged they were.

Jannelle Harris (sp?) the one that lost here show was on 2 other espn shows - she was so inflamatory and unhinged.

Looks like the NFL are going to have a lousy gate this year, too. Going broke for their “principles”. I’d admire that if they really had any, but they’re just a bunch of bullies who have no love for their country.

If I played on a championship team and was invited to the White House, then I would be super humbled and grateful. To pass on a chance to meet the President with a championship team is selfish and odd.

I've written this several times across multiple Eagles/Trump threads, but it's worth repeating (or so I think).

It *IS* true that only three Eagles were SJW nancys this season, while most other teams were all-in on this nonsense...including the "Trump-loved" Pats and their Parkland gun control supporting owner and 2017 WH no-show QB. It *IS*true that Coach Peterson personally thanked his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after the SB win on national TV. Many people correctly bash sports stars for their stupidity...we should champion the good guys.

If the reports are true that theEagles were planning a stunt or only ten guys were going to show up, shame on the stunt-planning Eagles. Truthfully, that initial report came from a former Star-Ledger reporter covering the Giants, so I want some corroboration.

In the end, football is ENTERTAINMENT. The players aren't curing cancer, they aren't offering society ideas or solutions to problems, and they (generally) aren't a material source of economic growth.

Yea, lots of people are EMPLOYED by the NFL, but the same can be said for Hollywood and other sports. It is another source of diversion from life's stresses.... Nothing more, aside from some lessons about teamwork, hard work, and it ain't over till it's over (yes, I know..baseball...work with me).

This Eagles fan will take Trump making an example of the Eagles plus tax cuts plus CNN ratings disaster plus Gorsuch plus a strong economy plus NK on its heels plus lots of other MAGA - not to mention the avoidance of THIS...

...over panem et circenses any day.

81 members of the team had said they were coming. All were vetted by the secret service and ok’d to come. Then the number was down to 3 as of Monday. No disrespect there. /s.

Correct.

That is NOT the point.

The point is that fewer than 5 players from a 41 man roster were planning on attending.

Trump’s point is that is a waste of time.
