In Washington state the booze doesn’t seem too overpriced. $15 bucks for a bottle of whiskey. Of course it rings up at $29 with the taxes they add on top of it.
I think the taxes go to widows and orphans. Well - at least that’s what they said when they passed the new tax.
I’m in Washington and there are lots of nice folks. But I tell ya - I can drive half-way across the country, but can always tell when I cross back into Washington.
“Hey - how come we’re going the speed limit (or less) in the left-hand lane, what is with . . . oh - nevermind. We’re back in Washington.”
Seriously - happens every time!
A few posts down I discussed someone taking a picture of my daughter.
He had managed to position himself in front of me and directly behind my daughter and I looked at his phone and he focused the picture on my daughter to the point where she filled up his phone screen. He continued to walk behind her for a long time and something about his actions just creeped me out. (We were in a small tour group)
Maybe I was a little bit paranoid but his behavior was really weird.
I was wondering if anyone else thought so or if maybe I was just paranoid.
I was running very hard for a week on very little sleep though and it was the first time I ever traveled without my husband so I was very cautious and maybe over aware.
I lived in Idaho for 5 years. It was great!
Great people! I worry about Twin Falls though. Obama shoved muslims in there.
Sheer paranoia on my part, though...
You are not alone. :-)
