9.) Be happy to see him. Free him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him. Listen to him.

17.) Don’t ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment of integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

It’s the not the article, it’s the comments.
The versions in the article are pleasant, happy, and fortifying.
Your versions, involving the wife throwing the husband’s stuff out of the house and poisoning his drink, are not.
That is why guys prefer the article’s versions.

I’m referring to the book “The Stepford Wives” by Ira Levin-and the 1975 original movie by the same name-not the 2007 remake, which was a horror/comedy. The book and original movie were a scary and dead serious fantasy/horror story about women who were replaced by identical android type bots at the request of their husbands who wanted the male chauvinist or male Muslim ideal of the perfect woman-a servant-and-sex bot...

I’ve seen it on other threads, too-I will never get why any man or woman would want a partner who was not intended to be their equal-where is the respect for one’s self and/or the other person? I suppose I’m spoiled because of the way I was raised and the 2 men I was married to-neither treated me as anything but equal as I did them-and we respected one another.
I challenge all of the presumably female naysayers - whose modern perspectives demonstrate the need for the article - to write and post an article about what they would want a husband to do for his wife.
I believe in God’s inerrant Word and this portion from Romans is part of it. Women chafe just at the word submit but everyone in the hierarchy submits to God - Jesus to God but he loves His Church like a wife. The church leaders submit to Jesus and love their parishoners. The husband submits to Jesus and loves his wife. The wife submits to her husband and loves her children. The children submit to their parents.
Parents love their children to the point of dying for them if needed. Husbands love their wives and will die for them if needed. Christ died for men and women. In this we all have something to love, protect and be accountable to thus we are all subject to Christ in our words and deeds because He is Lord of all.
Admittedly, women have the toughest job here because husbands are sinful creatures and capable of doing much harm but it is her nature to sustain a nurturing environment for her husband and children - for which she will endure and forgive much.

Yep! The man perpetually courts the wife and the wife perpetually caters to the husband, to keep a good thing going.
