This brouhaha over Brennan is merely the “scandal” du jour of the Left, empty and meaningless, sure to be replaced when they and the media can manufacture some new nothing.

Just FYI:

As Deputy Director for the CIA, in 1996, Tenet had worked to install one of his closest friends and confidants, John Brennan, as CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia. Brennan is now the DCI but, in his previous role, Brennan often communicated directly with Tenet, avoiding the usual chain of command. At the time, as an apparent favor to the Saudis, CIA analysts were discouraged from questioning Saudi links to Arab extremists.
(digwithin.net, 7/27/2014)

Between tours at CIA Brennan worked for a MacLean, VA “Thinktank” where he could make good money. He could not have done so without a TS Codeword clearance. All intel officers should lose their clearance after they leave govt and be returned to status only on a ‘need to know’ basis.

Brennan is a commie/mussie traitor

Clearances are given on a need to know basis. He has no need

When I retired from a DOE contractor a few years back, I was the holder of a Q clearance, a SCI with a full set of alphabet nonsense and a FIE member, they...

1. Took my ID/access card.
2. Took my office keys.
3. Took my file cabinet keys.
4. Took their smart phone.
5. Took their laptop computer.
6. Took their desktop computer.
7. Cancelled all computer access and passwords.
8. Cancelled all club and association memberships.
9. Cancelled their VPN to my home.
10. Cancelled all online subscriptions and networking accounts.
and...
11. All my clearances were terminated.

What was my reaction? I accepted it ALL with grace and understanding, because:

I AM NO LONGER EMPLOYED BY THAT COMPANY !!

(to borrow someone elses note.)

Clearances can go dormant for a period when not needed. It saves the government time and money to reactivate a dormant clearance. A clearance without access is useless. Having one revoked is a bad thing, it means the HOLDER cannot be trusted.

When you leave a govt job where you had a TS/SCI clearance, you can get hired by a contractor who requests you retain your clearance so you can work on a specific (paid-for) govt contract. Big bucks.

(If it’s under 2 years since you left, it costs that contractor very little money. If it’s over 2 years, the process needs to start over, so it’s very costly. Every 5 years, you must get re-checked, but ultimately the govt pays for that.)

That contractor has a contract that allows/requires these people access certain (not all) TS/SCI info on a need-to-know basis.

Questions:
- What contract was Brennan working under, and for what contractor?
- What did he actually do to get his clearances revoked?

People upon leaving a security clearance, have their clearance for two years. This allows the government to rehire trustworthy people in critical jobs WITHOUT having to reinvest in a full background check.

Actually, no. Your clearances were not terminated right away. “Alphabet soup” riders ... yes. Base clearance, no.

Your base clearance did expire 2 years later though.

Fusion GPS, Hillary's campaign, the DNC, CIA's Brennan, and Obama officials—were all focused on destroying Donald Trump.
The FBI got involved using very suspect methodologies. One crucial question is how early this all happened?.........

ITEM——Hillary Clinton ran in the 2008 and 2016 democratic primaries----and in the 2016 general election.

ITEM——S/C Mueller “uncovered” that the "Russian collusion scheme" apparently "materialized sometime in 2014.

Now, here’s the $64,000 question not addressed....Why didn’t the CIA or the NSA or the FBI pick this up?

Were Obama’s PDB’s falsified? Probably---Brennan knew the Halfrican was too stupid to catch on.

Brennan got outed as calculatedly working the phony "pee dossier" into Obama's PDB.

Dates are important b/c Snowden’s’ revelations indicate government spying apparatus began capturing all electronic data on Americans in 2001.

The Obama police state had a lot of help---our govt mastered the capture of all keystrokes, telephone calls and digital traffic by 2005.

This we know:

<><> (A) traffic travels through FBI computers, and,

<><> (B) the CIA keeps constant tabs on Russian spies in Russia....... and elsewhere.

Again. Why didn’t the CIA or the NSA or the FBI pick this up?

He voted for the communist party when he was in his twenties. At this time in his life he was an educated man and this was not a vote of ignorance nor youth. In effect he was a communist. I think he is one today. He is a horrible security risk.

My friend's clearance was refused for several weeks because he had subscribed to several communist newsletters during high school when writing a paper for Civics class.

I'm glad to see they are still applying some standards to the clearances.

They can also talk to people you went to school with, to get a sense of your Americanism.- Tom

My wife worked for Raytheon involving research and development of weapons systems, she was a software engineer. She had security clearances that were rather high. She retired 3 years ago and has no security clearances today as it should be.

Even today she will not tell me what she worked on. That is the way it is supposed to be.

In jest she said, “when I am dying I will tell you but it will be a lie.” I finally stopped asking what she did.

He's not free to roam. He has to request access...and they do NOT have to give him anything.

Remember back to Burger....he had access to the archives and actually stole documents....and got caught....and went to prison.

There are a significant block of US voters for whom the simple, rational is incomprehensible because they ONLY see what their masters tell them to see. Think of cattle in a chute at slaughter time ... that Brennan would try to play this lie tells US what we need to know about him as an enemy of we the people. Sadly the democrap party will push this meme and their brain-dead, dead soul constituencies will gobble it up eagerly for their massahs.

Berger was replacing documents with doctored one. He had no where to hide what he replaced, but he also planted faux documents adding to the clintonian records.

On the one hand, I think this is one of those unwritten practices in government that have been piling up and are now coming home to roost. There isn't truly any good reason for anyone not actively working for the government to have a security clearance, but they do it just because. Of course, it appears that Deep Staters have used this continued access for nefarious reasons. But this brings us to the another potential reason they were allowed to keep their SC - it is quite possible Brennan and others have been monitored, and allowing them to keep their SC means they could be caught doing bad things. Of course, Brennan has been so unhinged that it was probably decided that it was best to yank his access altogether.
