It’s not moot. You can’t get to a vote unless you end the debate, which is cloture.

These are the games they play and we need to be aware of them.

Cloture is on a filibuster. There is no filibuster of judges.

There was a liberal on Twitter who posted a poll. He got owned. Last I looked 97 percent believed Kavanaugh. 60,000+ votes. I think people are getting through to Collins, Murkowski, and Flake. Jamming their tweets with negative responses. I believe the American people are seeing the disgusting tactics of the Democrats.

At the same time... Coons is flipping and many other at risk democrats. A cloture vote does not have to include these three idiots.

No, cloture is a vote to end a debate.

There are three steps: motion to proceed to debate, motion to end the debate, and the final vote.

A filibuster is just an extended debate.

It takes 51 votes to end debate on any nominee.

You’re correct, but I don’t see democrats voting for cloture if the moderate republicans dont.

America is doomed no matter how you look at it. The only thing that can save us is for a terrorist to nuke Congress while in Session.

Stay classy, Herman.

Never, EVER give up.

There is still a floor debate. You can’t just move to a vote. You must proceed to debate, then end the debate, then vote.

It does not take 51 votes to end debate. You have no source for that. You're making things up.
cloture - The only procedure by which the Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and thereby overcome a filibuster. Under the cloture rule (Rule XXII), the Senate may limit consideration of a pending matter to 30 additional hours, but only by vote of three-fifths of the full Senate, normally 60 votes.
