If the next nominee for the Supreme Court is a woman, that will be the end of the Republican Party.

The attack against Judge Kavanaugh and his family was exactly for that evil purpose, and the majority of people in the U.S.A. are aware of exactly that.

Your move.

I don’t have a source. I’m going from watching how these things work, and these people work.

All the democrat antics were to delay the committee vote.

Now they have to delay the final confirmation vote, and they’ll attempt to do that by convincing the moderates to not vote for cloture, because “there needs to be further investigation” or “the investigation isn’t complete” or “it’s scope wasn’t broad enough.”

They are desperate to prevent a final vote. Their democrats are already wavering. Manchin wants to vote yes to save his hide, and Donnelly is getting nervous. They want to keep their seats. And the easiest way to make a hard decision is when you’re safely reelected. So they want to delay the final vote till after the election.

In the mean time, they need to prevent a cloture vote, which should be at the end of this week. That’s their next goal.

If Flake (and the others) go along with cloture, it’s a sure bet they’ll vote to confirm. So keep your eye on the cloture vote!

The corruption in DC is so bad we are doomed. They play us citizens like a drum.I am almost of the opinion we are not worth saving.

Just watch— the best description of what happened in the Senate Judiciary Committee fiasco is the one in Tzarism.com. And don’t overlook the joke of a joint interview with that (sorry but true) jesuitical corporatist Leftist, Coons, and the dumbest of the dumb fakir Tea Party in name only (oh, and don’t forget- intends to be the next Mormon Vegas Bag Man for the Mob to replace Harry Reid)—Flake.

Coon’s quote from that show about Kavanaugh being “railroaded” was all over the radio Sunday- and, depending on one’s interpretation, a head fake sop to his base or... he is hearing hugely from pissed off voters of every party that he should stop this crap. But then he has to fight off the meshugina Feinstein the chi-com corrupt crone.

Thanks! I hope this means McConnell’s either got the votes, or has struck a deal on getting it through cloture.

The real pressure is on the democrats up for reelection. Because, in my opinion, that is one of the major reasons (other than killing the nomination altogether) they want this beyond the midterms. They want the members of their caucus safely elected before they cast a vote, when the threat of the people removing them from power has been removed.

Manchin probably wants to vote no, but he wants to vote yes so he gets reelected. If he votes no, he’s toast in November. And Joe Donnelly has been wavering. Same deal.

So this is very good news I think.

Yes he did. I assume anyone who would vote not to end debate would also not be a vote to approve. His theory seems to be that Flake wouldn’t vote to end debate but somehow never announce he’s not voting to approve Kavanaugh, which doesn’t make any sense.

All you need is 51. There is no more cloture needed. Harry Reid took care of that!

They have voted to proceed to debate. They still need to vote to end the debate (cloture) and move for a final vote.

This requires 51 votes under the new rules, but the three moderates can still thwart this (they’re a slippery lot!).
