Not so. Reagan had a democrat controlled House the entire eight years he was in office.
The dems controlled the House from the 1950’s until the stunning 1994 election.
Reagan had a Republican controlled Senate for the first six years of his presidency, losing it to the dems as a result of the 1986 midterm election (in his second term).

Beyond the problem with investigations, which I think is the biggest challenge, I think that we will find it a net plus. Trump is a negotiator, and Ryan and his losers or obstructionists, not negotiators. We might not be happy with some of the trade-off, but Trump will take this in stride and use it to his advantage. Keep in the senate is far more important.
Dems will defund ICE, subpoena Trump’s taxes, impeach Judge Kaveanugh, and vote for the Democratic Presidential Candidate in 2020 after invalidating the election ...
Lots more convictions of underlings on process charges, too. Make it even harder for President Trump to attract good people.
At least the situation is now simplified with the RINO saboteurs out of the picture.
If they really go the impeachment route, Trump will take over justice and really go after Obama, the Klintoons, and the anti Trump Silicon Valley (anti -trust). All the info on the conspiracy needs to be released if there is any serious action.
Their is also potential for treason investigations with Diane Finestein (China) and Warner of VA (abetting fake Russian collusion) . The entire CA democrat machine could be looked at here.
