Look for a vintage gas range in a vintage travel trailer. They are usually small, three burner, small oven, with NO electronics. Many were hardly used by the trailer owners
Aga.
I'm glad you're pleased with your Samsung. One must be careful these days buying appliances or any other items having potential environmental impacts based on ratings from Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports has become very politically correct and will often rate inferior products very highly simply because they have minimal environmental impact. It's often more advisable to rely on the consumer reviews of the products rather than the CR reviews.
Ive got a GE that I run on propane for the last 4 years. Not a single problem.
I think your problem isnt the stove, but the quality of signal your AC input has. You might consider an inline AC power supply for your whole home, to clean up the signal quality. Otherwise, try getting an old school propane stove without the computerized bullshit. So many circuits in your stove are timing dependent, and just a small frequency fluctuation can trip alarms.
That way you do not have a bunch of electronics and you do not have a pilot light using up your gas.
They are not that cheap but they are not sky high either. Look for a scratch and dent model to save a bit.
Maytag. Lol. What a joke.
Blue Star.
Keep an outdoor barbecue for emergency use and some even have an oven. Salvation army might have an older one that is more reliable. Maybe someone in your neighborhood has a used one left over when they “upgraded”.
Being that I’ve been inside this thing multiple times, it’s basically a big stamped metal box with some insulation, burners and a few controls.
The stove burners work fine.
I wonder if it’s possible to buy just an old-fashioned oven burner assembly and gas valve and retrofit it into the box. They can’t be all that different - all of them have similar dimensions.
Buy a used commercial such as an Imperial.
I bought my wife one used off craigslist for $800.
Bought the kit to convert from natural gas to LP.
Been using it for 8 years.
Tough as nails, nothing but propane needed.
6 burners capable of 33,000 btu. Most residential cook tops are 15-18,000
We will never have anything else.
We live in a house designed to be off the grid on 20 acres in the middle of the woods. Wood heat that we can use to cook if without propane.
We have a thousand gallon propane tank just for our stove and a ventless heater if we need to heat while we are gone for a long period of time.
But don't get me started on our GE Profile French door refrigerator. What a piece of junk.
You can buy completely restored vintage gas ranges. All the hand labor makes them expensive, but no electronics!
Take a look at Antique Gas Stoves for an example. They are gorgeous.
Buy a couple of these and tell Big Gas to shove it:

And at 15,000 BTU, it’s as powerful as the crap you’re looking at.

If you're electronic-adverse, GE has an even more basic version of this oven with no electronic oven controls, but ironically costs more than the above oven:

Following. I am looking for a propane stove for our new house.
My sister had nothing but problems with washers with all the fancy electronics and finally ended up buying a basic washer without all the fancy stuff. One of the fancy ones she had would turn on by itself.
