In American Cosmic, D.W. Pasulka, a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, draws on a six-year ethnographic study and the work of Carl Jung (Flying Saucers) and Jacques Vallee (Passport to Magonia and The Invisible College) to explain the widespread belief in aliens. Pasulka identifies three aspects of UFO inquiry: physical evidence (crash sites and artifacts); testimonials made by experiencers; and the persistence of belief whether or not there is verifiable evidence to support it.
Pasulka also challenges the view that UFO believers are uneducated, fringe members of society. Some very well-regarded scientists, she indicates, are convinced that non-humans have visited Planet Earth; they have chosen to remain anonymous to protect their professional reputations.
Using a method common among anthropologists, Pasulka maintains she neither believes nor disbelieves but insists that testimonials are, in important ways, “real.” This approach allows her to gauge the impact and internal logic of a “thriving belief system.”
Pasulka regards them as “heroes,” who have “the guts and ability” to take on skeptics, and are “fighting the good fight for the right reasons”: because they believe, and “they would say,” because they know.
Pasulka turns her attention to television shows and movies. Models of “events” can be conflated, she asserts, even when one “representation” is real and the other is fictional. The likelihood of putting a model in “the wrong bucket” increases when producers (whose clients include National Geographic, The History Channel, and The Smithsonian) use a genre called “specialist factual programming” to fuse archival material and special effects to create realistic montages, with “documentary” in the title.
These productions influence memory, Pasulka emphasizes; “they contribute to belief in fabricated UFO phenomena.”

Look up the work by NASA and others on the Alcubierre Drive, a speculative method for travelling faster than light. The premise for the ongoing research is that FTL travel is possible as a matter of physics, if the necessary technology can be developed.
UFOs & Bigfoot have the ability to either prior to the sighting make you forget your camera or if you over come that power and you have your camera. Your camera settings will be set where its always a fuzzy, grainy out-of-focus image. Not mater how you try and set up your camera!
Zecharia Sitchin got his 15 minutes of fame coming up with fake translations from the Sumerians about Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru. Then that vile hoaxter Nancy Lieder took it further and claimed the world would end in 2003 as Nibiru shot through the solar system flipping planets on their poles. When that didn’t happen, she changed it to 2012. The UFO research business is full of crackpots, and as a result you can’t believe any of them.

I don’t think any of that will happen. Just sci-fi imagination. At high speeds running into even a speck of dust will destroy the craft. I don’t think humans will EVER travel at speeds even close to the speed of light. They won’t need to. A civilization capable of such high technology will be able to terraform and adapt the solar system into whatever’s needed. Much easier and less costly to stay within our star system.
She correctly calls it a belief system because it is certainly a religious belief. One can hardly believe in evolution without believing in life on other planets.

Satan is called the god of this world by St. Paul (2 Cor 4:4). The end of the world refers to the end of his reign and the beginning of Christ’s. But the Bible doesn’t talk about UFO’s in the modern sense. No sightings of shiny flying discs are recorded there, despite the broad interpretations by some.

I have no opinion on whether extraterrestrials have been here or not, but if they have, I have always wondered why they do not want to announce their presence in some public way, like landing on the ellipse behind the White House. Then I read a story by someone who claimed to have met with aliens and asked that same question. Again, I have no opinion on whether this is true or not, but the answer he received was very interesting. Apparently, the aliens see reality differently than we do. So long as their presence is not accepted by humanity as a fact, then they remain apart from us. From the moment when we know them and generally accept them as real in our consciousness, we become part of their reality as well. From that point, they are bound to us somehow.
It's an interesting notion. It implies something I've always believed in: that we are all in some way part of a larger common consciousness, one that gives rise to a "world spirit", and allows people in different places and cultures to experience "awakenings" to new ideas and paradigms almost simultaneously.
Bill Cooper likely had the best angle on this stuff!

One discrepancy. Stichin is now not the only one who can read these. It’s an understood language now just like Egyptian hieroglyphics and Linear A. It wasn’t just a one time translation. They are finding new tablets everyday and translating them. Those tablets still all read the same. If Lieder expounded on Stichin’s translations that’s on her, she had no right.
