I am trying to understand the standards and criteria for a post and thread being removed from FR.
A few days ago, a thread regarding 2 Rottweilers killing a small child was removed.
The post was from a legitimate news report. The content of the thread was not surprising, facts and reports being referenced on dog attacks, and emotional appeals along the lines of "I will own whatever dog I want."
The point: This post was not different than many here at FR. Facts were being presented and a discussion was being had. Is there a stated criteria here at FR under which a Post and thread will disappear with no explanation? Sometimes I see a pop-up that states a thread has been pulled with some reason. This one just went away. Why?
i have 3 big dogs myself. I had a beautiful collie mix that we rescued that bit( everybody but me) I had to put him to sleep. I did not go around making excuses for the behavior. I could have, too! I don’t know how he was treated before we had him.
So very true Beau....!
Yeah, OK. I can see that.
Newfies are great.
Big slobbery galoots.
Maybe the mod doesn’t understand dawgs

Noted. I had posted there too - merely to a site that appears to be geared toward potential dog owners, and, among other things, lists many breeds. It seems to, fairly accurately, IMO, describe the breeds’ characteristics, their varying strengths & liabilities, and, very importantly, responsible ownership requirements. (I have no wish to instigate another “dog fight”, so I will leave that statement at that!)
I “left early” (the computer, I mean), and upon return, I noticed I’d neglected to close that window: The thread had been zotted. If it “deteriorated” in the interim, I know nothing of that.
Made Me Laugh!!!
Maybe like -— uh -— women of a certain size fighting over a chocolate bar?
Try posting anything not complementary about the q nuts and watch how fast it gets deleted. They have total immunity from free speech.
"If you never know why then you can never learn where the boundaries are as to not violate them again in the future. It can create even more work for the moderators because without a warning or explanation the boundaries will just keep being violated.
I believe, something to the effect of get a life.

Well that’s different. The usual reason a thread is pulled is “taking out the trash.”
Bald Men-—Comb,

That’s Funny!
I hope you find out something useful.
I posted an article recently that got yanked with no explanation. The next day, someone else posted the exact same article from the exact same source, and it went on for over a hundred comments. I think I must be on a watch list.
I think so. That and the posting history of the OP.
Look at Norskis posting history. This person was getting off on making people argue on these dog hate threads.
Ok, I can imagine that.
Good evening,
I have looked at your post. I am willing to discuss it with you. What do you wish to know?

Thanks for the post.
My question was based on trying to understand what went on in that particular thread from yesterday that caused it to be pulled.
As the originator/poster, do you get any indication from the moderator as to why it was pulled?
Well, as I understand it, the mods are domestic cats from the Nordic region of Europe, so maybe that will explain the difference in perception between you and them.
I consider it probable that it may have been because I used the Police Press Conference as a source author, as did ABC 13 and Fox 26.
Here is the link to the ABC13 story:

I hope this helps. I do not know why other threads have been pulled; perhaps there are similar reasons for those, as well.
